Enjoyable with interesting aesthetics and physics but very short...
Less than 2 hours to finish it and less than 3 hours to get all achievements
I would suggest buying on sales

Completely lacks the conventional aspects of most modern games (inventory, map, HUD, etc.) and is all the better for it. Lives and dies by its physics-based gameplay, which is well executed, and further supported by great art direction, pacing, atmosphere, and sound design. Unique compared to anything else I have in my library - a true palette cleanser. Experimental games like this are the art form of indie gaming at its best.

Very unique game, satisfying and challenging.
Which just begs the question,
can you cook an egg on Mt Everest?

I bought this game purely based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and the price. I didn't watch anyone stream it, I didn't see any spoilers anywhere, I went into it knowing absolutely nothing about it. I absolutely loved every part of it.

One hell of an experience. Good music, good vibes, but most importantly: Arctic eggs.
I bought and played this game probably 6 months ago, and the fact that I came back to make a review 6 months later just goes to show how much of an impact this game left on me. Take that with what you will from my supposed 2.4 hours. Felt way longer but in a good way.
I definitely recommend this one.

Fun game with its own unique style. Music is fantastic too. Pick it up on a sale and get to flipping.

Everyone is chasing trends, and then you have "Arctic Eggs". To be very fair, it'd be naïf to pretend the game isn't tied to any trend. We're living a resurgence of PS1-like, low-poly 3D graphics; and there's that blend of earnest reflection and absurd memeish nonsense that makes the dialogue feel quite modern. But still, when you play the game, it becomes obvious that it has its own unique flavor (the one you'd get if you fried some eggs with some living fish, two shots of vodka, and some bullets). As a game developer, that feels refreshing.
"Arctic Eggs" revolves entirely around the specific mechanic of frying eggs (and other stuff) in a pan. This is repeated a thirtysomething amount of times, slightly changing and adding mechanics. It doesn't need anything more than that. You hear a lot of indieapocalypses and how impossible it is to make it in the industry... and while it's true that it's a crowded market where failure is a common occurrence, this one shows you that the key to elusive success isn't necessarily repeating the trendy formula of the season (and there's nothing wrong with that anyway) or having an astronomical budget. You can just focus on doing one thing and doing it well, while also having a vibe that makes it stand out. It reminded us of the importance of keeping things simple and it had a real effect within our studio. Its (well-deserved) success brings us joy.

I bought this game after reading a glowing review from a critic online. I finished this game because I told myself that I couldn't get anything on the summer sale until I finished something else in my library.
This game offers cryptic visuals, drab atmosphere, and erratic dialogue. Yes it's possible (and silly) to cook eggs on Mount Everest. Yes, this is art. But I did not find this enjoyable.
With that said - this game offers an extremely unique experience. You may not be a 'normie' like me. I would only recommend to people who really crave that novel gaming experience.

This game is really fun. I watched a friend play this game and he enjoyed it so much I decided to try it myself. I played on a track pad, so I struggled with it at first, but it still worth the purchase. An eggscellent game.
