Because of the devs trying to keep up with Mods they broke the game for those of us not even modding, this game will accuse you of accessing files you are not allowed to and then deny access to the game!!! Even if you have ZERO mods running in the game, i don't even have any installed.
I never tampered with any of the program just double clicked the shortcut icon as i always do and it gives me an error message that when i looked it up was for mod problems about access to files in the game.
In ONE of the THREE posts i saw about this happening to others the devs just full out said "Oh well nothing we can do", so if you can i would suggest not giving money to people like this, which explains why this game is only going to ten dollars...
Scummy devs like this company need to be shutdown and the only way to do that is to not buy the garbage they are selling, to be clear the GAME WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU anyway, so you would just be giving them money to lock you out of what you have paid for regardless if you do not break any laws or mod or any of that.
My computer is a beast for those who might suggest it is a performance issue. When i got to play... i was playing at max settings without any issues.
SHAME OF THE DEVS FOR STEALING, yes you know it is stealing because they do not even address the issue, by avoiding it they imply a guilty conscience, saying "oh well nothing we can do" is NOT acceptable. No matter how cheap the product is. I provided payment in full and abide the terms of use which is all that is expected of me on my end, at no point did i agree to dealing with THEIR PROBLEMS with controlling mods and so on, restricting my access because THEIR incompetent programmers mistake and ACCUSE normal users of "modding" and then TO HAVE THE BALLS to deny access to the game based on a false/unverified accusation just angers me to no end! Especially since i had been playing the game just fine for days then suddenly out of nowhere YOU ARE A HACKING CHEATER ACCESS DENIED! ..... NO!.. NOT ACCEPTABLE, i don't care about excuses NOT MY PROBLEM i never agreed to have my game suspended IF/WHEN some script suspects me of doing something i NEVER DID. Find another way of dealing with YOUR mod problems that does not involve those of us just looking to enjoy the game as is without messing with mods.
AND DON'T YOU DARE ACCUSE PEOPLE OF THINGS ON SUSPICION ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is wonderful. Play is fun, Character creation is immersive. One down side is the Editor, I wish there was a more solid tutorial or help feature in explaining how to script and set up customized games, however basic editing features are easy and you can whip up a map in a short time and play. Another quality game in a series which I have never been dissapointed with. Kudos.
Peeves - No Death race per se or frostlings.
definitely a 9.5 out of 10 for me though.
For the price it is a steal. You will not regret it.

Okay, so far I've made it through the tutorial and a bit into the first Chapter (plying Elf, Orc just declared war).
The game itself has some beautiful graphics and I like the lore.
I do find some of the mechanics clumsy, like when you find treasure, they put the loot in the bottom right outside box of a great honking big Inventory wearing/carying window. Takes you a few minutes to both find this then use it.
The help pointers are useless. You do find yourself in these (so what the Hell do I do now) situations and active questing is difficult to bring up and search.
Honestly, aspects of this really remind me of OG gaming because of the heavy use of seemingly XHTMS coding coupled with PHP/Apache (think old school Nintendo RPGs).
The fighting I so far find to be a challenge.
Hex map with a weird viewer angle makes counting out moves for optimum defense, range and striking a bit difficult, but I have read that once you get through learning the mechanics a bit more, then the Enemy AI becomes much more exploitable.
The part I truly hated was the cumbersome Registration tied to this game. I swear to Crom they are using it as a datamining source, and it's a huge pain in the ass.
Altogether, I give this a solid B Grade as while there are problems, I'm finding I want to get more immersed and see where this Rabbit Hole goes.

"Age of Wonders III - Deluxe Edition DLC" is an excellent addition that enriches the base game with new elements and content, making the gameplay even more exciting and engaging.
One of the main innovations is the new adventure called "Dragon's Throne." This campaign invites players to dive into an epic narrative about ancient dragons and their legacy. The story is filled with captivating quests and unexpected twists that keep the player's attention until the very end. In this campaign, players will face new challenges and be able to fully utilize their strategic skills.
Moreover, the Deluxe Edition includes unique heroic skins and accessories that add aesthetic value to the game. These cosmetic enhancements allow players to stand out and give their characters individuality, which is especially appreciated by those who value detail and personalization.
Another significant addition is the soundtrack, which adds depth and atmosphere to the gameplay. The musical accompaniment by renowned composer Michiel van den Bos enhances the emotions and immersion in the game world, making each battle and adventure more epic and memorable.
New artifacts and spells are also part of the Deluxe Edition. These elements diversify the strategic options for players, allowing them to develop new tactics and approaches to battles. Each new artifact or spell can become a key factor in a battle, changing the outcome of the game in your favor.
The expansion also includes exclusive maps for random scenarios, providing even more options for exciting battles and strategic maneuvers. These maps create new conditions and landscapes, making each game unique and engaging.
Overall, "Age of Wonders III - Deluxe Edition DLC" is a must-have for all fans of the game. It enriches and expands the gameplay, adding many new possibilities and content. This expansion makes "Age of Wonders III" an even more thrilling and complex strategy game that cannot be overlooked.

This DLC offers exactly what it advertises:
- 1 new scenario
- AoW3 OST
That's it.
If you think it's worth the cost, bundle or otherwise, it's up to you.

7 euros for both an exclusive scenario and the official soundtrack (which is incredible by the way).
A good deal, but mostly for fans.

I'll be honest, I think the Age of Wonders III Deluxe Edition DLC is overpriced for just the soundtrack and one scenario, however...
The music in this game is brilliant, one of the best game soundtracks I've heard, and if you enjoy this music as much as I do, it's great to be able to listen to it separately from the game, as well as five bonus tracks that aren't in the game.
The scenario, even though it's only one scenario, is the largest in the game, a very large map with 8 players. If you like huge scenarios, then this is a no brainer.
I do recommend this DLC, but with reservations. If you haven't bought the game yet, I recommend getting the Deluxe Edition - it's much cheaper than buying this DLC separately later. If you didn't buy the Deluxe Edition, then I'd only recommend this for completionists and music lovers. Or just wait for a sale.
