This game is an awesome twist on the typical deckbuilder experience, making the act of casting spells a simple puzzle that gets more complex as you try to unload your full spell list each turn. Until you craft a build around changing your gems to knives, in which case you stop worrying about puzzles and spells, and just start stabbin with a knife. 10/10 never bring a wizard to a knife fight

Perfect, the basic idea is so simple but the flow of the game is complex and deep, always a surprise to discover the interactions between spells and modifiers, what a pleasure to understand and recompose the deck after a bright idea during a fight, a new synergy opens.

Neat little game. I really enjoyed creating unique gem combos to blast through enemy parties. Relatively short runs which I loved. It really reminded me of Peglin. The music is really cute and catchy. Been humming the boss theme while not playing. I think I enjoyed the bite size brain puzzles, it’s something I could hop into without much investment. I think if I could change one thing about the game it would be the rank system. You can choose upgrades or downgrades from a randomized list before every run, and it will affect your rank based on the buffs or debuffs ranging from plus 5 being more buffs and -5 being more debuffs. Your rank however does not effect the run. There are no downsides to picking all buffs and starting the run with +5 rank. Though it is nice if I'm looking for an easy handicapped run.

fascinating game so far. im impressed by how much mechanical depth and interactivity you managed to squeeze out of a puzzle grid! i feel this game is mostly let down by its presentation -- the UI (puzzles and spells) and gamescreen (the itty bitty slice where action happens) are arranged in an unflattering way, like its always just a tad too zoomed in. its also strange to see full resolution character art next to the crunchy pixel stuff. once i look past that, the game is great

It may look like a match 3 game, but this is actually a really deep puzzle roguelite deckbuilder. I don't think I'd ever be able to play each round fully optimally lol

This game is a wonderfully stylized take on roguelikes. The combat system consists of connecting gems in patterns to cast spells, which you add/modify throughout the run. The spells have nice synergies, and the modifications are balanced to the point where you're rewarded for making a clever spell, but you don't need perfect synergies to win a run. It's a refreshing way to do combat that isn't just a recycled version of Slay the Spire. Outside of just combat, the story is cute, the art is great, and the soundtrack is bangin. The vibe is cohesive all the way to the hidden unlocks and achievements that make it feel like a game from an older era (although less frustrating). Altogether, well worth your money, especially if you're looking for something a bit different than other turn based roguelikes.

A very fun, tight, well-designed match-3 roguelike with a lot of neat synergies to explore. Although I might not have the attention span to see this game to completion with all its characters and unlocks, I marvel at the solo dev who brought all these mechanics together. Going to keep an eye out on all future projects.

One of my favorite coffee break styled games of recent years. Simple, easy to understand mechanics with a lot of variety of possible builds and a charming art style. If you enjoy matching gems, this is a winner for sure!
