if you are a arpg fan then you will enjoy this game i see a lot of bad reviews, this game doesn't have any pay to win and its cheap so no reason not to give it a go ! there is a lot of classes some you have to pay for but again it wont brake the bank and the ones that come with the game are really good so if you just want to check it out and not spend any more money then you are still good to go ! i have played a lot of poe. torchlight and d3/d4 with like more than 10k spread in all of these games so i do have a bit of back ground and this is the most fun i have had in a game in a while there is lots to farm for and trade easy progress to each stage the game plays decent i havent had any bug problem or crashes, they are added new stuff every season, for the price i would recommend any one check the game out and you will have a blast !

Hero Siege doesn't deserve such negative reviews.
Game is different and that doesn't mean it's bad, but people hated the transition from roguelike to arpg.
Some complain about the price of dlc, but it's a 10+year old game, how else should they get money to support the game?
This game is actually fun and surprisingly deep arpg, and it is everything Diablo 2 remaster + poe was supposed to be.

Game is poorly optimised and the game controls are not responsive. The window mode is bugged out . If you minimum and again try to open the window , the game will be in a small window state

Thought I would give it a try. I usually don't look to reviews and I make a unbiased decision purely on my experience and gameplay and in the very short time with this one, I can say the history of development and the developers themselves seem to be the driving factor as to why the reviews suck.
The game itself is fine and I love the art style, music etc, the artists deserve alot of credit.
However, the "Live Service" model the Devs seem to be shoving down the players faces, quickly shows in the game itself and it seems that nearly every menu has a "BUY ME!" button. Including - More inventory space, more character saves, cosmetics and even a monthly subscription service, for a house.
It honestly isn't justifiable, at all. Just a quick review on Steam shows there is over £140 worth of DLC for this game which is crazy alone even after 10 years of development.
Take Grim Dawn. A clear example of how to do DLC correctly and larger paid expansions, with supporter packages if you wish to buy it. It doesn't shove anything down my throat when playing the game and I would easily support the game by other means if it wasn't so present.
Also this game incorporates Easy Anti-Cheat, for... some reason. Dictating how you should play the game. Comparing it to GD again, who, expressively stated that they want the player to enjoy the game in any capacity they wish, without the need of anti-cheat. Again, its pointless.
Clearly there is a small community leading at the forefront of this game still, which is why it is still being updated. However, looking at a lot of reviews it seems there is a huge divide between the developers and new customers. Which often leads to the Devs taking the feedback, or just outright arguing like children.
"I don't want people like that as my Devs, they can fuck off."

Never played an ARPG that nickel and dimed you to such a ridiculous extent. Everything costs money and you're paying for a thoroughly average product. Just go play Path of Exile instead.

New players perspective:
You open the game, create a new character and 90% of the classes are locked. Okay, I must need to get to a certain level to unlo- oh. I need to buy them. Okay i guess. You then pick your class and start the game. The only thing that gets explained is how to open your stats. That's quite literally the ONLY thing. At this point in time I still do now know how to assign my abilities/skills to my bindings for them. There are plenty of signs in the starting area; GREAT opportunity for some tutorial stuff, but maybe that would take away from the experience you get from standing still slashing at the 200 enemies they throw at you straight away. It would make sense if you were able to learn how to use your skills but no...its just slashing at enemies. After the 3rd completely blank sign in a row I gave up on it.
I'm sure if you get far enough into the game, watch a youtube video on how to actually do anything that the game should've told you and get rolling, it could have some fun stuff. But first impressions 100% matter and the first impression i got was that it sucks. The gameplay loop became boring and repetitive in the 10 minutes I played in the starting area and the game doesn't tell you anything. No thanks.

If you never played the previous version this game can be a solid 7.5/10 if you ignore the ridiculous amount of cosmetic microtransations and lame late-game.
Otherwise, you know how they butched a perfect roguelike with amazing synergies and builds for a horrible diablesque clone of itself from temu.
