Got it on Sale and have been having fun playing it in Co-Op with friend. Not as Crazy as Overcooked there is some fun to be had here. Developers are continuing to improve the game and tweak things more especially with the Upcoming INN upstairs plans just announced in addition to the Tavern downstairs.
This game would benefit from more UI tweaking, 3rd person view, and Map but each update they keep improving things and do use the suggestions from the player community. Its Fun.

I'm liking the early access so far. In about 8 hours me and my sister got to a lv 24 tavern and its fun being flooded with orders to have to consider the decision to send someone on a vain quest for mushrooms or boar meat at the expense of the other managing 15 customers on their own for a couple mins. And sweeping at customers is a fun way to get rid of them but maybe some bar fights or more events happening with the customers would really bring the experience together.
The character creator is pretty bad ngl. Pretty obtuse menus instead of png previews but not that big of a deal. It's the art style but I was looking for a classic flowery tavern dress instead of everything skin tight but the bucket is pretty good.
Since it's only early access I'm understanding of it's shortcomings but I've got a single nitpick about not being able to pick up dirty dishes once you place them in a dish washer in the event you want the option between manual and auto when the owls auto place them.
But I have gripes, however, about the progression and the pacing leaves a lot to be desired though all the base tools should be available outside of the tutorial since it's quite tedious to go back and forth.
And having the bow, fishing rod and alchemy locked behind quests (never even got around to alchemy bc we couldn't bring ourselves to interact with the herbalist for upwards of 3 different fetch quests required little more than going back and forth between houses) puts a damper on things, bc the quests are the weakest part of the game, especially from the writing that falls kinda falls flat (the two jokes that admittedly got a laugh from me being
The first line meeting the mermaid and "You're driving!?"
). Voice acting is really good some places and quite horrific in others but they seem to be updating that anyways. But the lack of fishing rod really makes making fish recipes difficult, after fishing for 5 mins I never got an edible fish. And towards the end we were levelling up 4 times a work-night without a lot of the recipe's ingredients being available to us from said fishing, the levelling up takes up just a little too much of the middle of the screen to warrant liking seeing it since you're usually using that peripheral when it goes off. Having a closing summary would work better for dealing out exp. I think also there needs to be way more messes to clean, especially off monster bodies that attack the tavern. One cleaner owl and it stays 100% at all times.
I think the base tools of every kind should be available out the gate and maybe more uses for the bow like rare bird meat to hunt for. But having durability on the tools makes little to no sense and only subtracts from the experience because there's nothing valuable or scare about the tools to warrant rationing them. The shop equipment breaking down makes sense but there's little stakes when the merchant has a tent directly outside. It'd be better if he was further away in an emporium of his own or you'd have to ring him to show up in a carriage the morning/evening after; so sending someone to him would feet more of a tactical decision in a time sensitive environment than just the plan B if you're out of barley. They address it in the writing but it's also kinda weird that he's set up immediately outside, like not even 30 metres.
Fishing minigame slaps though and was a lot more engaging than I'd have thought, I wish it didn't dark out the screen but I'd have done way more if it actually yielded an edible fish for me outta a dozen or so tries. Combat is fine, it's not the focus and is serviceable, except for the "baiting the boars" quest being the only time you'd ever realise they have a charge and that hitbox being way to wide.
I'm pretty hyped for the full release. The running around for ingredients and coming back to wait tables is an extremely fun gameplay loop they have going here and I definitely recommend it. I'm hoping they remove the player cap and have customers multiply depending on the size of the party or something like that.

A relaxing and enjoyable way to pass time with quirky characters and nostalgic graphics and names. Venture into the woods to quest, gather, and take in the strange happenings of the woods or cozy up in your tavern and hunker down to serve guests and cook up some concoctions.
I found myself enthralled by this simple yet fun tavern sim and crave a little more each time I play, I already dread it being over.

One of the best game I've ever played in co-op. Recommend to play it with your loved one or friends (up to 4 people in total). Also, remember to press 'T' in co-op to make your life easier. Good luck and really with you the best expirience!

I bought this as a fun, relaxing multiplayer game for when I don't want to think. It serves that purpose. It's cute, but lacks complexity and polish and gets boring before you hit 20 hours.
Not cooked through, needs to go back in the oven for a bit. In this current state, I wouldn't recommend it. It has potential. After a few updates and a little more polish, I would consider revising my review.

I really enjoy this game! took me about 20 hours to complete the main quest line, but I'm definitely a slow player. I really enjoyed it playing solo, it's refreshing to play a maintenance/farming/tavern game without having to make friends with every villager. I know some people find it to be the heart of a game, but sometimes I just want to optimize something without having to talk to anyone, real or not.

While I did enjoy some of my time with this game, I would not recommend it.
This game really feels like they wanted to do a lot of things and then did not go into depth into any of them, this combined with some odd choices like not unlocking the upstairs of the tavern and blocking the edges of the world with invisible walls, and you've got a recipe for a mediocre game that is fun with friends for a couple hours, but nothing more.
I played this for a bit solo and then some more with others.
The game starts of pretty fun. You get some gear and fix up the tavern that is filled with trash. You then get some equipment and set up your kitchen and a table for your first customers.
Get ingredients, make some food/drinks, serve your customers, clean, rinse repeat, pretty fun loop overall, at the start at least.
The game very quickly becomes doing the same thing over and over. This is usually something I love since I love roguelikes, however, you need variation, upgrades, improvements, to make it feel like you are actually making progress. Most of the progress you make, is just getting more equipment that is required to make different types of foods, sure there's also an automatic dishwasher and some upgraded version of pre-existing equipment, but most of it is just more stuff to make different stuff. There's no skill trees so people can specialize in different things like farming, combat, cooking etc. It will always be the way it is now, which is a shame.
Another thing that seems fun at first but is stupid later, is unlocking parts of the tavern. When you first open, you will see some areas that are closed off with little signs that show you at which level the areas will unlock, fine enough, but they are just empty areas you can fill with more things. The only useful ones are the ones next to the kitchen since you can fit 3 full tables (and more) in the starting area and that already is nearly too much for 2-3 people to handle consistently without running out of ingredients every couple of minutes. What is the absolute worst part about this though, is that the upper area is completely locked off and cannot be accessed, ever. It just is there, looking like space you can use but no, there's ropes preventing players from accessing it. One of the weirdest and stupidest choices I've ever seen, even if guests can't access it, why block off half of the tavern to the player(s)?
Next up, combat, a pretty big part of this game as you will have to venture out to do quests, gather ingredients and more. Combat is basic, limiting and boring. In most cases it is just hit 3 times with axe or 2 with sword, block (or dodge), rinse repeat. You know those MMO's where it is just stand still and chug health potions? This is like that but slightly more interactive. Oh and hope and pray you don't get attacked by more than 1 enemy because if they all attack at different intervals, you're dead. There's a crossbow and a gun, but the crossbow deals no damage and the gun is lategame (and I don't have it yet). There's 2 melee weapons and 2 guns even though combat is required for some ingredients, mostly if you want them cheaper since buying them is more expensive than buying an axe/sword and killing them yourself.
The last major thing that really bothered me was the world border. Invisible world borders should not be a thing, they could have made this tavern on an island or surrounded by something, but no, just invisible walls constantly and it is super annoying because it isn't super obvious where these walls are until you walk into them. The world may have some content, but it is smaller than you think, mostly in terms of variety.
Next up a couple of smaller issues.
Voice acting is fine. There is one character who sounds way too monotone for the text she says and it is the herbalist, no offense, but her voice acting is extremely poor.
Some sentences feel off, like someone google translated them or something. Not sure whether the dev's first language is English, but sometimes it doesn't feel like it is (again, no offense).
Singleplayer is awful. This game is absolutely not balanced around being alone, maybe not even in a duo. Doing the standard tavern routine is awful if you don't have anyone with you, even the helpers are not good enough, there's little variety (they either clean or serve) and are super slow. If you do play this solo, prepare to spend at least 4 times as long (if not longer really) doing what 2 or 3 people could in the same time.
The game overall is just meh. It's fun with others for a couple hours, get all the achievements, but I do not see myself playing this alone or any more after completing it.
It has awful combat, blocked off areas of your tavern and not enough worthwhile progression.

I love almost everything about this game, but the inability to pause is incredibly frustrating. Every time I need to take my dog outside, or get a snack, or leave my computer for any reason at all, I have to remember to save the game and exit out to the main menu. I'm an adult with adult responsibilities, and I have to get up A LOT, so it gets old fast. I understand that it's a co-op game, but there is a single-player mode, and this seems like an egregious oversight.
