Along with CV: Order of Ecclesia, this is the metroidvania i've liked the most as a whole package.
Combat is even more varied compared to RoLW: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth as you now have a gun along with melee weapons, movement is equally amazing and I really enjoyed the Neo Japan theme.
The game is story-driven and it helps a lot that it is interesting, each revelation kept me hooked and made me enjoy the conclusion of the regular and true endings a lot.
I'd say that, if Team Ladybug checks reviews, maybe discarding throwable weapons like the shuriken and the chakram for a future game would be a good idea as it's quite easy to trivialize rooms with them.
The single most broken aspect of this game is that you can Warp around 95% of the map without constraints, you're no longer limited by the warp room locations and this makes backtracking way faster than in any other game of this kind. It is even encouraged to use it leisurely when you are finishing to gather the collectibles.
Music improved drastically for this game, so many good tunes.
This game easily goes into the Top 3 of the games I've played this year and I'm now a Team Ladybug fan.

Short and sweet metroidvania, good to play between other games. Is fairly easy, with only the true boss being more challenging. As always, the graphics are great, and runs flawlessly.

Another great metroidvania from these developers, the pixelwork is amazing and the music is great. Loved the world, the story was a bit on the nose but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I think Shin could've been a bit more smart in deducing what was going on that was obvious to the player. Otherwise I really enjoyed the game overall!

Amazing game, great message in the story, takes a lot of the metroidvania formula especially the igavania side and expands quite a bit on it. I enjoyed this thoroughly walrsaud halfway through a second playthrough, if the story doesn’t grab you the awesome pixel art and gameplay ought to, some of the best gameplay in an MV for me.

decent metroidvania. Team ladybug has always had stylish animations and solid game feel. I had a decent time, but I think the game is too far on the easy side. The enemies have ultra long wind up animations, take a while to spot you, and have slow attacks when they do come out. Ultimately, you end up killing most enemies before they can even do anything.
I like alot of the ideas, the sword having block, healing, and traversal capabilities, the ability to teleport anywhere you want to avoid backtracking, the time reversal mechanics, its all cool. But despite that...I have trouble holding blade chimera above my favorite metroidvanias. I do think it all comes back to enemies and challenge being lacking. Still, I had a decent time, 7/10 more or less.

Bladechimera is a really good game. Maybe it isn't a 10/10 game but I have a ton fun with it. I don't really get all the negative reviews, Bladechimera has a really pretty graphics, music and is for a change a Metroidvania where you mainly shoot, while melee is also possible.
The real fun begins later in the game, after about 5 hours in, when the story picks up, you got more skills/weapons to play around with and... the difficulty also finally picks up.
Early game is a tick easy, too easy for me. But in the later parts of the game, it really starts to get more interesting, from a difficulty perspective. Not unfair but challenging enough.
The early game is pretty strait forward and... for a Metroidvania pretty guided and on rails. You get told where to go to, and while there are side areas... they usually only have pickups like those Puzzle Pieces.
While I expect in a Metroidvania freedom to explore with not that much hand-holding usually and Bladechimera is pretty much on rails the whole time the action is good, there are allot secrets and how to get them and it sports a good story that makes you think at spots.
I especially enjoy that you have a choice between guns, throwing weapons and melee weapons. This is actually a major reason I picked up Bladechimera and it is one of few Metroidvanias where you have actual shooting and not only melee.
The bosses are also a real treat, they look great and are fun to fight. Though most of them are not that nail-biting hard like in a Dark Souls game, I was really entertained and challenged towards the latter part of the game.

It's amazing, the developers took metroidvania and mixed it with gun action. The gameplay and graphics are the strongest point in the game.
Skill tree upgrades did have destroyed the sense of exploration which is the main feature of a metroidvania game, and with the addition of teleportation kinda made the game easy to navigate at will for some. but to appeal to wider audience and make things smooth for side mission is actually a good feature.
Story is alright, but the OST a banger. 8/10

Bladechimera has the fantastic visuals and fast combat you'd expect from a Team Ladybug game, but it skimps on the "search" part of a search action game. The most unique ability in this game is a freeform teleport you can use to warp to almost any discovered tile on the map with no resource cost and virtually no restrictions. This makes backtracking effortless and occasionally it is used for some clever navigation around solid walls or through the air. However, it also means that the map design and movement suffer because of it. They didn't need to intricately connect the map because you can simply warp everywhere. They didn't need to give the player agile mobility because why walk when you can teleport. The game is also a tad on the easy side and the side missions mostly amount to busywork to pad out the playtime.
Still, it is pretty to look at and fun to fight things, which you'll be doing a lot of. There are plenty of weapons/skills to try out, the boss fights are flashy and plentiful, and the story is above average for the genre. You can certainly do worse, but you can also do better like, say, Ladybug's other games.
