Хороший, хоть и линейный метроид. Графика приятная, играется задорно. Сюжет.. он как бы есть.

Blade Chimera – A Stunning Original from Team Ladybug
I highly recommend this game. Team Ladybug has absolutely outdone themselves with Blade Chimera. This is their first game featuring a completely original story and cast of characters, and they’ve knocked it out of the park. The narrative is engaging, and I genuinely enjoyed following it from start to finish.
The art style is simply breathtaking, beautiful, fluid, and full of personality. It’s clear the developer is evolving with each release, and Blade Chimera is proof of that growth. Every detail feels thoughtfully crafted, and the gameplay complements the story perfectly.
The way the character traverses the world is genuinely fun and innovative, it adds a whole new layer to exploration and keeps the gameplay fresh throughout. It’s one of those mechanics that just feels good to use.
I loved this game. It’s a strong step forward for Team Ladybug, and I’m excited to see what they do next.

This has the most unique solutions for the gated area progression I have ever seen in a metroidvania where is it based off character leveling. Sure, it has the necessary plot points on the map you need to get through but 100% is so very unique that I have to suggest this game on that merit alone.

it's a really fun metroidvania with fun movement and combat. it's not super difficult but it doesn't overstay its welcome either, the story is interesting and had me hooked. The secrets were satisfying to find and the items were fun to play around with

Good, but sadly not great metroidvania, the mechanics are solid, enemies do enough damage that you at least can't ignore them, puzzles and general play are fun and engaging. Music is good if not particularly memorable. My main issue stems from how linear it is in disguise, card key doors with no alternate routes blocking otherwise cool breaks into areas creating what is essentially now an action adventure game rather than a metroidvania.
It's still very good and there's plenty of reasons to backtrack and explore, but it definitely left me wanting more. The levelling mechanic playing into progression is a strange choice but thematically consistent and one that I think could've used a few more options and branching paths to fully capitalise on it.
All in all a solid game though, I certainly don't regret the purchase and enjoyed my time with it, but looking at what could've been when they had some great ideas is a bit of a sour note.

A great game if not for being a touch short I finished all in game tasks including the secrets in just under an hour on the hardest difficulty. Also on the easier side imo.

This is an outstanding metroidvania. I instantly felt the 'symphony of the night' vibes and that's just how it plays, with many of the rough edges smoothed away. The graphics are gorgeous, the enemies are gorgeous, the weapons are fun and you're not inundated with useless ones. The plot is decent and it has an extremely impressive twist! If this was out of five ranking this is my 5/5, I'm blown away. Runs like a dream on my oled deck.

It's amazing, the developers took metroidvania and mixed it with gun action. The gameplay and graphics are the strongest point in the game.
Skill tree upgrades did have destroyed the sense of exploration which is the main feature of a metroidvania game, and with the addition of teleportation kinda made the game easy to navigate at will for some. but to appeal to wider audience and make things smooth for side mission is actually a good feature.
Story is alright, but the OST a banger. 8/10

"An exceptional Metroidvania with god-tier gameplay—but the plot falls flat."
Blade Chimera blew me away in terms of gameplay. The combat is incredibly fluid, and once you get a handle on your main weapon, secondary firearm, and soul familiar, you feel unstoppable. Maybe even too unstoppable. By the time I hit level 45, not even the final boss posed a real threat. The mechanics are so well-designed that they almost work against the challenge curve—once everything clicks, it’s like you’re breaking the game in half.
One ability in particular—the early-game teleport—really broke the sense of exploration for me. Part of the fun in Metroidvanias is mentally bookmarking locations and revisiting them once you unlock new abilities. But with teleport, you can just mark a spot and zip back anytime. It removes that satisfaction of organically re-discovering past areas. It’s a cool mechanic, but feels more suited for a New Game+ mode than a first playthrough.
Visually, the game is a masterpiece. The pixel art is pushed to its limits in the best way—highly detailed, full of atmosphere, and stylistically distinct. The setting is rich and full of potential… which brings me to the story.
Unfortunately, the plot just doesn’t live up to the rest of the game. The protagonist is underdeveloped, side characters feel like placeholders, and while the final boss has something resembling an arc, the reasons for the conflict are muddled and unconvincing. The ending left me disappointed—it didn’t feel earned, and honestly made the story's shortcomings even more obvious.
Still, despite the weak narrative, I strongly recommend Blade Chimera for the gameplay alone. If you love combat-heavy Metroidvanias, this is one of the most satisfying I’ve played in years.

After playing Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, I decided that I would buy Team Ladybug games sight unseen. I'm glad I did, because Blade Chimera is an absolute gem. The gameplay is strong (literally the closest you can get to cyberpunk Symphony of the Night) and the story is entertaining to the point that I would watch this as an anime. It's an indie game so of course there are going to be some issues (for one, the difficulty needs to be turned up), but overall I've really enjoyed my time and would love to see some kind of sequel in the future.
