although the game have its own charm, but it's not well inherited upon the book itself. I couldn't pick the term of ''novelized'' since it's not actually following the in-game story which is defeating evil magic man.
I wouldn't criticize it that much - since it's not like you're expecting somekind of new epic poem for another millennia - but comparing to the doubtful storytelling and plots, I can't erase the feelings for it have quite unreasonable price.

It was a little plodding at times.
But overall, it was a pleasant read. The same wry humor of the game

DLC verdict: Get it on sale
Comment:
I did not expect for the book to be as good as it was. Especially the last third was lively and interesting. It definitely isn't boring and it shows some lore behind the game itself. But unless you are a big wizard enthusiast, or you want to support the devs more, I recommend getting it on a sale.

Pretty good, but way too short: at most half the length of a typical Discworld novel, and they already are rather short by novel standards. Might be worth it at half-price or lower. At full price, it will cost you the same as a Discworld e-book on Amazon, and Pratchett's works are not only longer - but also better. Still, I didn't expect a videogame tie-in to be as good as this novel was, and don't regret the money or time spent.

There's so many DLC's for this awesome game.
It makes the game very unstable to have them.
The base game works mostly normally for real.
But when you get into a DLC, it usually breaks.
I have completed everything, so do not worry.
You can still buy everything and then enjoy it.
Just be prepared for a lot of crashes, that's all.
The base game does deserve a positive review.
And now: let's talk about this DLC in particular.
If you like to read books, this one was for you.
But if you do not like to read, do not buy this.
This is a novel: No Gameplay Here: It's a book.
I enjoyed reading it. I give it a positive review.

This book is easily 1 the best DLC cuz it doesn't crash lmao
(well and you can read it on phone etc)
Vlad x Grimnir is real..
..not in that way you perv
Love it, tho I'm not sure if it has enough star wars references heh;
now I know that wizard order is even more dumb and trolling than I thought earlier!
And yes they do use spells that you can't cast in game, but I don't think it's really that much of a problem, especially after playing Magicka 2 (you may notice they don't hold staffs same way for example) and knowing about Wizard Wars
wizard girls? more likely than you think..
speaking of books do you know there is Magicka Manual with Vlad dialogue in it? It's nice too
and it's funny

If you really like Magicka and you want to continue exploring its world this novel is for you. As you'd expect, it isn't amazing or groundbreaking, but it is a very nice short novel that expands the world of Magicka. I definitely had fun while reading it and it is worth the asking price.
A great story!
While it is quite short (170 pages), it still offered me hours of laughs and excitement.
The Wizard Joad was dying and he knew it. He was dying not because he was old, but because he had been stabbed.
Several times.
With a sword.
Also, clubbed on the head with a blunt object.
At least twice.
Then set on fire.
I would definitely recommend this novel.
