Bought this when it was brand new and decided to give it a chance again today, still don't like it.

[*] Nearly all upgrades are temporary with a very very short duration and don't feel like they contribute anything.
[*] The enemies you're supposed to protect your allies from sometimes spawn directly on top of them.
[*] Most of the difficulty is linked to enemy health, paired with your slow, low range, low damage main weapon... It's really just a slow, slow grind.

This game really was just not for me, and all I have left is sour milk.

Aqua Kitty Milk Mine Defender* is a perfect example of a game trying to be quirky and failing spectacularly. The premise—cats defending a milk mine in underwater subs—sounds like a fever dream, and the gameplay is just as incoherent. It’s a mindless grind of shooting enemies, all wrapped in repetitive, uninspired mechanics. The so-called "tower defense" is laughable, offering no depth or strategy, just the same boring loop over and over.
Visually, the pixel art is painfully outdated, not in a nostalgic way, but in a "did they stop trying?" way. The soundtrack is grating, and the sound effects are as forgettable as the gameplay. Upgrades are bland and meaningless, and the difficulty spikes seem designed to annoy you, not challenge you.
If you’re into games that demand zero thought and offer no satisfaction, Aqua Kitty might kill some time. But for anyone with taste or standards, it’s an easy pass. Don’t waste your time or money.
