Dead Signal is nerve-wrecking.
The constant threat of killers who will get you if you’re not paying attention kept me on edge like no other horror game. Most horror games make a big deal out of their monster showing up—not Dead Signal. Here, you have to notice the laser sight in your window without the game spelling it out for you. You have to realize there’s a man in your bathroom, even though you locked the door. Speaking of which… get used to the code randomly changing and unlocking the door. If you miss that, well, good luck.

What I Liked:
✔ The Gameplay Loop – I love how it mixes checking cameras, delivering packages, and hiding from killers. It keeps things from getting stale and makes every run feel intense. ✔ The Killers – They’re all unique, and honestly, I even liked dying to some of them. Unfortunately, I got spoiled on a few mechanics beforehand, but the deaths still caught me off guard. Most of the time, I feel like I only die because I messed up—except when it comes to Lucas. More on that later. ✔ The Atmosphere – This game is constantly making me paranoid. If I spend more than 20 seconds watching the cameras, I feel like I have to check the apartment. The male Noir, especially, makes sure I never get too comfortable. ✔ More Accessible Than WTTG2 – It has a lot in common with Welcome to the Game 2 (the whole "killers trying to stop you while you use a computer" thing), but unlike WTTG2, Dead Signal doesn’t make you deal with disturbing websites. It keeps the horror focused on the gameplay, which I appreciate.

What I Didn’t Like:
✖ Lucas Can Just Kill You With No Warning – If he spawns while you're in or entering the hallway, he can kill you instantly when you take the elevator to the roof. I lost a run in the last hour of the night to this and couldn’t figure out what I did wrong, even after rewatching my recording. Apparently, I’m not the only one this has happened to. If it’s a bug, I hope it gets patched. If not, at least give us some way to tell he’s there. ✖ Camera Jumpscares – It’s not the actual scare that gets me, it’s the loud, obnoxious sound effect. Thankfully, they don’t happen often, but still. ✖ The 1% Elevator Death Chance – I hate this. The elevator is way faster with the breaker flipped, so I can’t go back to using it the slow way. But losing a run to pure RNG? That just feels bad.

Very enjoyable and quite difficult game, unfortunate that certain known bugs still havent been fixed after quite a while though (e.g. leaving the flat in the moment the laser spawns leading to the hitman assasinating you on the roof) which leads to frustration building up, rather than the player learning from their mistakes and becoming more determined to win

Perfect combo of observation duty and home invasion genres where you have to spy on people and survive against killers which makes gameplay twice interesting. One of those few games where you like losing and enjoy how many ways killers can terminate you. They're brutal, vivid and well designed. Although you have a lot of fun (in normal mode), this game is extremely hard, and nightmare mode is mostly suffering and by far one of the hardest game challenges in my life. Anyway, absolutely love this game, it's unique and has great concept, would love to see more of it.

This game is full of crash out moments-You go one way and back just to immediately go back to that one way. (i.e. delivering a package just to find out you got a dead signal) This game is full of multitasking. But minus the crash outs, this game is full of fun shit and the spot the difference type gameplay is a lot of fun. I do like the characters and their dialogues. Overall I love this game!
