Gameplay is boring, overly complicated for no real end result
Graphics are indie at best, basically just pastel blobs that dont hold up against any other game made in the last decade
Difficulty settings either don't do anything or do the opposite of their labeled purpose
Game has no guide, tutorial or anything remotely helpful so you have to read for hours through 20 year old forums
Steam wants me to pay 50 bucks CAD for DLCs that apparently make it "playable"
90% of online playerbase answers legit questions with "git gud" or "its easy why u struggling" like a bunch of 12yo kids
2/10 Nostalgic for some people, hasn't shown a shred of value on any front

One of the best strategy games ever, period. The player can take the helm of any nation spanning the 15th through early 19th centuries. You are given the opportunity to reshape world history as you see fit. The only drawback is that the expansions are almost mandatory to experience the game at its fullest. This is easily Paradox's best release to date.
