It's completely unbelievable that this charming and wholesome gem of a game is made by a studio we all know as Ubisoft. The times they are a-changin

It's been my favorite game since it came out and still is, you could argue its because of the nostalgia but I don't really see it like that.
It combines my favorite gameplay mechanics which are stealth and plattformer and on top of that I love the protagonist and all the characters actually. They're very believable and not just there to be there.
I love the art style/direction and the open world. The objectives are fun to achieve (besides that one enemy that flies with the two gas tanks..... always hated that one lmao)
The puzzles are fun, especially when u try to figure out
how to get the beluga, because it requires you to actually pay attention or by sheer luck stumble upon it.
Every enemy has its weaknesses and strengths and different ways to fight them.
The minigames are a refreshing distraction from all the things happening in the story, my personal favorite are the races but theres a couple more you can check out.
There's not much else to say, its a classic for me and stays my favorite game of all time; I'm glad to have a copy that doesnt fight my camera now (because the older PC ports have a problem with that lmao)
Take my review with a grain of salt because like I said, I love this game and always have, I am very biased about it; but if my words sway you in any way, consider getting it on sale or through other.. means ifkyk but don't miss out on this game, it's worth it ( in my biased opinion. lol :3 )
OH and the anniversary additions are very fun too,
it's a scavenger hunt across the whole world with an important story relevant message at the end. I wish they would've put more effort into it tho because the character models at the end just look kind of weird/out of place and it's weird that jade has basically no reaction at all to what she's being told, it kind of ruins the immersion; but I'd simply blame this on not having the same writers for her like in the OG game.
PS: if you find any typos, you can keep them. lolol

Tough one, because I love the game and this version started perfectly fine for me.
Then it turns out, Ubisoft launcher. And on top of that they linked it to the wrong account. Fuck that, refunded.
The game is great, just find a better way to play it.

Yup it's still a masterpiece, just boot this game and listen just listen to the soundtrack... Rest of the game is just as good.

for the 20th Anniversary version: great stability, introduction of autosaves, improved character models and textures, interesting but unnecessary cosmetics (alternative outfits and vehicle paintjobs) and downright iritating new mission that strips the main characters of their appealing mystique.
for the game itself: great game, great atmosphere, outstanding soundtrack, but the final bossfight is a tedious bull****!

Amazing game. It combines nostalgia with modernised technology. Improved graphics, audio, some QoL changes. Being a remaster and not remake it naturally it comes with the same annoyances as the original like the camera work. Nothing serious though. The story is engaging and interesting enough to easily look past the minor issues.
The addition of the new treasure hunt related to Jade's past gives hope that the sequel might eventually be released one day.
