This game has been out for almost seven months now and it is still nowhere near ready for release. The game is full of bugs. In career mode i get several flights that don't even count after i have landed. I can't even begin to tell you the number of hours that have been a complete waste due to the various bugs this game is riddled with. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

Worst and buggiest game of all time. It's an absolute mess. It has been many months since it was released, still buggy as hell. Oh, but they released new aircraft in the marketplace! Cool!
Absolute disaster.

This game is broken and career mode is even more broken. Game was released with major bugs and it isn't much better now.
Example Mission fly here and land.
Land aircraft on runway and receive notice you entered taxiway so you are now getting a bad mark, but your still on the runway.
Example Mission take off from that runway over there that is actually UNDER water. No really the entire runway.
Edit update 28 June- 230 hours career mode is still giving me problems. Penalties for runway/taxiway infractions. Air traffic control still making life impossible with conflicting instructions during flight.
example - flying at 20k, ATC says drop to 15k, drop to 15k then ATC says go back to 20k.
example - touching any building with an aircraft during taxi is a automatic crash. So it spawns aircraft with no reverse thrust facing a building with the wingtip inches from the building.
Another time it spawned the aircraft with the tail laying on the roof of the building. Automatic crash fail.

Frankly, for those attempting to achieve simulator-style flying, this game is barely passable. Switching from 2020, the UI is difficult to navigate, due in most part to the very large UI elements that take up a large amount of the screen. The controls for camera switch is no good compared to 2020.
The game's streaming of almost every asset is taxing, and I often find many objects lacking proper textures even when in direct view. I find I have worse performance, more input lag, and a significantly harder time panning the cockpit camera around.
MSFS2024 is built as a game, not a simulator. I am disappointed with the quality of this release, being that it is NOT in EA, as it should be. If you are looking for a stable experience with predictable behaviour, I would recommend checking out actual simulators or staying on 2020.
Absolute shame to the developers for this. This game should not bear 'simulator' in its title.

This game/sim is good, but not great. If you’re considering the game only for the career mode, don’t get it, it takes a long grind and the ATC comms are simply cringe. I will say this, the free flight is awesome at least for all my needs, it only increased my interest in aviation and I now fly on VATSIM with this sim. I HIGHLY recommend you get some sort of sim gear, or else the game is practically unplayable.

For a $70 game that has been out for months, this game has numerous problems apparent from mere hours in career mode. It is borderline unplayable with a keyboard and mouse due to input lag, aircraft control surfaces will sometimes randomly bottom out uncommanded, leading to a crash (especially infuriating on final approach after hand flying for an hour), and the game will sometimes randomly softlock itself on tests in career mode. I can't recommend this glorified zip bomb at the current price.

Do you want to fly for two hours on a mission? Do you want the game to not count the mission after said two hours? Do you want this process to happen 30% of the time in carer mode? Then this is the game for you!

At some point in its lifecycle, MSFS 24 will be a good - no, great flight sim. But today, it deserves five thumbs down not so much because of the game itself, despite its obvious - ahem - potential for improvement, but because its amazingly rapacious publisher is still laughing in the face of its customers.
Microsoft launched FS24 without any beta testing of its own. You would start the game and, if it didn't crash, game breaking bugs and missing features would fly at you by the boatload in your first fifteen minutes of play. "We so sorry," said Microsoft! "Here are four bullshit planes for your trouble! Now, we can start the beta phase." But here's the catch: paying customers are now the beta testers. MS set up an elaborate bug reporting platform and ranks bugs per number of customer reports. They release massive patches to solve problems identified by their users.
So, 2025, here we are: Microsoft, not exactly an indie dev in the poorhouse, decided it was going to make more monies! by making the conscious decision to release an unfinished game and to outsource part of its development process to those who thought they had bought fully functional software. I, amongst other suckers, paid €140 for the Premium Deluxe edition, which gets me a bunch of additional planes without engine instruments, with controls that can't be mapped to my controller, or that still just don't really work.
Add to this a sketchy marketplace that won't give you receipts for what you buy and built-in limitations for console support that give PC flyers the shaft, and you get the picture.
I'll keep using FS24 if it keeps getting better, but I hope that enterprising users or ambulance chasing lawyers cook up a class action lawsuit with patch changelogs as Exhibit A. For that kind of money, the least I expect is a game that's completed as advertised at launch. What we're looking at here is consumer fraud.
Fuck you, Microsoft.
