Told myself i wouldnt get a $770 game out of principle, took a chance on this one. Wont even load lol. first time trying to boot this up its stuck on 0% which is a very common issue at this moment with NO fix. If you buy this game currently as of March 8 2025 you are likely to have this same issue. Devs basically just said be patient. I cant say anything about gameplay or performance because wel i havent played it yet due to this footnote, the ONLY fix for this currently is buying the game on microsoft/xbox store.

--WORST simulator ever, even if compared with mobile phones ones.-- Nonexistent aircraft still persist when importing from previous official versions. Airport and runway textures look like toy models. Poor-quality sounds. Inoperative systems. Plastic-like, unrealistic clouds. No addons available because the simulator itself doesn’t work, causing developers to abandon it. ILS, RNAV, and procedures are either missing or inaccurate compared to reality. Buildings and structures are unrealistic.

I had high hopes for MSFS 2024, but after spending time with it, I can confidently say this game is nowhere near ready for release. It feels more like an early Beta than a finished product. Yes, the graphics are outstanding, and the world looks more immersive than ever—but what’s the point when the experience is riddled with bugs, crashes, and game-breaking issues? Basic functionality doesn't work consistently, and every update seems to break something new. Aircraft systems are unreliable – Autopilot bugs out, avionics freeze, and essential controls fail randomly. Performance is unstable – Even high-end PCs struggle with stutters, frame drops, and inexplicable lag. Multiplayer is a disaster – Frequent disconnections, AI traffic issues, and sync problems make flying with others frustrating. Bugs everywhere – From ground physics to flight models, so many elements feel unpolished or unfinished. At this stage, MSFS 2024 is not ready for prime time. The stunning visuals can’t make up for an experience that’s frustrating, inconsistent, and unreliable. I expect major patches, but this should have never been released in this state. Unless you enjoy beta-testing for Microsoft, wait before buying.

so, if you dont disconnect your internet midway through the "loading languages" (which i waited 10+ hours for and it didnt move an inch) then it just wont do anything. disconnect your internet while its at that section then wait for the xbox popup then replug in your internet THEN you can wait for loading. what the fuck lol. if you get past all of that then its a decent game, i had a mid range lower end pc but can still get decent frames.

Despite the mixed reviews, game works and looks great for me, only a few minor bugs sometimes.

What's that old saying about a fool and his money? I was that bloody fool. Don't do it. Just don't do it. If you're like me and you have MSFS2020, stick with it. Maybe in a year this will be functional, although I have grave concerns, as of right now, it's an absolutely unplayable bug ridden nightmare that's more like a alpha release than the erroneously assumed beta release that I mistakenly dropped a $100 bucks on. The take-away is JUST DON'T DO IT. Save your money and grief and listen to experience, unlike the old fool like me who thought "How bad could it be?" Oh, damn was this old fool wrong, wrong, wrong.

First want to start off saying I've played every Microsoft made Flight sims. Pretty much. Have always loved the MS simulators. I do have issue with this 2024 version. This thing was released in Nov of 2024. It was not released as "early access" but as a complete game, ready for retail. It is not "ready for retail". Now I'd have ZERO issue if this was marked "Early Access" and the price was about half of what it was. This even now is not a retail full quality game. This is very much beta, what I would maybe call version 0.7.2. It is full of bugs to even get the game to start, you will have to debug. Mine wouldn't even launch, unless I launch it, then disable my network adapter, wait for it to complain about no internet, then re-enable it and could then do the XBOX login. Will non-30+ year IT techs figure that out? Maybe if they are smart enough to do some searching, I feel many would refund, or hit the support (ouch) Then, levels wouldn't load, missions fail to load getting you stuck and have to kill the game. Files are "streamed" instead of just downloaded making load times on a very fast machine seem slow and I'm on 5gbit internet, but you'll never get that kind of bandwidth from Microsoft. Bottom line, this is beta at best. It should be called such, or early access. This is not ready for the masses retail as it's being marketed now, and that's my only issue. Microsoft will at some point hammer forge this thing into something decent. But right now, be ready for random bugs, some funny, some glitches will make you laugh like a person hanging out the aircraft while flying, or aircraft floating at airports. Some of the bugs will cause you to have to kill it and start over. (sometimes just waiting 1-3 mins it'll figure it out, maybe because the servers are loaded?) If it's a server loading issue, there really is no excuse here at 3-12-2025, when this was released in Nov of 2024. They really couldn't get more servers? And there is East and West, no central or south? LIke come on, yea I have 45 ms latency to east, but it would be 10ms if there was a central/south server. Overall this just seems lazy and sloppy. (Millennials running things now?) Slightly deceptive, should of been labeled beta, or early access. I will recommend it, but only to those who know how to deal with bugs/beta software.

As a relatively new flight sim enthusiast, I had high hopes for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Unfortunately, my experience has been incredibly frustrating due to numerous issues that make it nearly unplayable. First and foremost, the career mode is riddled with bugs. One major issue is that planes often won't shut down properly at the end of a flight. This is a crucial step in completing missions, yet despite following all procedures correctly, the aircraft just refuses to power down. This leaves you stuck and unable to finish the mission, wasting a significant amount of time and effort. Another major problem is the frequent game crashes, particularly during Passenger Transport Airline missions. After investing hours into a flight, only to have the game crash before reaching your destination, it's incredibly infuriating. This isn't just a rare occurrence—it's happened multiple times, turning those higher-level missions into an unpredictable and frustrating experience. On top of that, some missions seem impossible to complete even with full fuel. While you can adjust your fuel levels before departure, there are still missions that simply can't be finished because the fuel runs out before reaching the destination. It feels like a cruel design flaw that punishes players unfairly. I really wanted to enjoy this mode, but these issues have completely ruined the experience for me. Until Microsoft addresses these glaring problems, with these issues affecting such a core part of the game, I can't recommend Microsoft Flight Simulator at all. Please do not spend $70 on this game!

I don't understand how Microsoft have released such a buggy, poorly performing game. It has so much promise, but delivers so badly. Do not buy this! Buy 2020 and then get this in 2026 when it is finally out of "Beta"

The game is still horrible and filled to the brim with issues, such as bad texture quality and rendering, particularly with mountains a example is the Matterhorn that is now portrayed with a partial blue texture which weirdly is worse than in 2020.An additional issue is the use of outdated imagery and data. My recommendation is wait another year to buy this hell hole of a mess.
