Dracula: Love Kills sees Count Dracula, weakened from his last battle with Dr. Van Helsing, awakening to find that the Queen of Vampires is trying to take over the world, Mina, his beloved has been kidnapped, and his ancestral home ransacked. The Prince of Darkness must find Mina and stop the queen of Vampires before the world drowns in her corruption. What follows is a thematic and narrative infused classical hidden objective game and a classical puzzle game, that sees the Prince of Darkness and his companion Igor, solving various puzzles in order to unlock the weapon that can stop the Queen of Darkness, and reunite Dracula with Mina again. Though the game is more of a classic puzzle game, with the narrative driving the puzzles, it's also more than a simple hidden object game. A fusion of the two. The game features an interesting and well drawn art style, that still holds up in 2025, and never are you ever looking too long for hidden objects or things to interact with. The puzzles are also of mid difficulty and most of them don't overstay their welcome. And in the event that you feel that they do overstay, you can simply skip them after engaging with them for a limited amount of time. Igor can also help find objects in scenes that you have overlooked or need to interact with. The in game map is also good at singling that a given location you can travel to have things you can do there, and when all things have been exhausted from a given location, the game explicitly states so. The game clocks you in at around 9 hours, with the bonus content lasting around 1 hour. Waterlily Games and or Frogwares should definitely make more of this type of games.
