Fun game. Good blend games. Annoying at times because enemy tiles always drop so fast in the level, doesnt seem random

One of my favorite game this year.
If you like puzzle games and, to a certain extent city builders, I highly recommend this one.
It's very well crafted : sound design, presentation and game feel are excellent.
The way everything clicks together is very satisfying.
The later difficulties are no joke, as it requirer a lot of planing, knowledge, some luck with the tetris piece order (and a little bit of cheese). But thanks to the generous save system it's pretty manageable.
All the content of the game is unlockable on any difficulty, even on easy.
So if you want a chill and enjoyable puzzle game or a heartpounding tetris roguelite, it's up to you.

You've played games where you put a building down and it gives bonuses because it's next to another one? Great. It's that but also it is tetris. Done.

Drop Duchy is an absolute gem!
I had a great time playing it and ended up trying all the available factions. Each one feels distinct, with its own playstyle and strengths, which adds a lot of replayability. The game mechanics are fresh and well-balanced — there's always something new to discover with every match.
Visually, the game looks fantastic. The art style is colorful and detailed without being overwhelming, and it fits the overall tone of the game perfectly. The soundtrack also deserves a shoutout — the music really enhances the experience and keeps the atmosphere engaging.
Whether you're a casual player or someone who enjoys experimenting with different strategies, Drop Duchy has something for you. Highly recommended for fans of tactical games and indie creativity!

Addicting as hell! There are some UI improvements that can (and I hope do!) be done, but the overall game and experience is great.

Addicting Tetris style rogue-like deck builder involving significant strategic thinking around card combo chains.
Earn cards as you play through a round, which all have effects including resource generation and army building. The end of each round, you pit your built units against the AI in a rock, paper, scissors type of counter system, and each of the 3 acts have a boss board at the end. 3 playable factions to progress through at the time of writing this, each with their own play styles to figure out and master.
Definitely a "just one more round" type of game where all of a sudden its 6am and the horizon is getting brighter.....

A cleverly designed roguelite that merges tetris with basic weapons-triangle combat. Has some weaknesses that make it kind of frustrating to play, but it's still good overall. I've certainly not seen any game like this before. The atmosphere is good between the art and music.
If you're looking for a relaxed tetris experience it's a little lacking - it should probably have an undo button (since if you make a mistake you can just hit 'reload save', there's no reason not to have undo), and the way rotating pieces works is a little fussy. But similarly if you want a hardcore tetris experience there's not really time pressure to make your moves. The pieces fall incredibly slow and swapping your current piece with the reserve piece resets the drop timer. So it's not really hardcore tetris either.
The combat is perfectly fine for what it is, but feels very simplistic. Despite being simplistic, the UI is lacking and succeeding at combat requires you to do a bunch of mental arithmetic to estimate whether you'll end up with 12 swordsmen or 13 swordsmen so you know whether or not combining two groups of units will convert them or not. It's possible to do this math since you have all the time you want, but I'd rather not have to bust out calc.exe to play a game if I can avoid it. The difficulty level of the combat feels about right, and if you don't like the combat you can at least play the game on easy. Personally, I would prefer a mode that doesn't have combat, because it feels kind of superfluous, but that's clearly not the game they set out to make.
Overall the game is relaxing to play and gets your brain going a little bit, but isn't so demanding as to be strenuous. Early on in playing it you may find yourself repeatedly surprised when the game doesn't behave the way you expected it to or you accidentally misplace a piece, but that becomes more rare as you get familiar with it, and you can always hit reload save and start a stage over if you want.

Blending Tetris-style block-dropping with roguelike deckbuilding and strategic combat, it creates an addictive loop that’s hard to put down. The game’s genius lies in its simplicity—place terrain and building tiles to gather resources, build your army, and outsmart enemies in rock-paper-scissors-style battles. The progression tree and over 100 unique cards keep every run fresh, while the charming medieval aesthetic and tight pacing make it perfect for quick sessions or late-night marathons. Such a creative indie gem!

The core gameplay totally rocks when it clicks, and I've had a ton of fun thus far. It's well worth the money. However, it's no Slay the Spire. It's a fun turn your mind off kind of game, but it has some serious issues:
1. It runs shockingly poorly. Maybe this is an issue on my end, but I can play high end games without dipping below 60 fps, and this game will sometimes hit single digits. It's pronounced if I leave the game on for longer, so maybe there's some memory allocation issues going on. I've once accidentally left the game on for a day and had to restart my PC because it was stuttering and barely responding even after closing the game. Never had this issue for any other game.
2. The game is deeply unbalanced. As you play, you unlock cards for new terrain, rivers and mountains. These make the game almost exclusively more difficult. I have won on nightmare difficulty for each faction, and the only path for victory was deeply leaning in to the faction's base cards (or just rushing faith). Maybe on lower difficulties you could incorporate river and mountain cards into your deck but at that point you'd just be doing it out of boredom. As a result, I pretty much exclusively win runs with a grass/forest deck. Plus faith is busted.
3. Difficulty curve is wack. Boss 1 is reasonable, boss 2 is significantly more difficult, and then boss 3 is significantly more easy.
