It´s a cool game where you fight a lot of enemies in a 2D enviroment, as a rat, It´s fun and challenging, Death seems to be a theme for the creators... It improved on the first one, it has better things like the way ammo works, but it has its details, I liked the gameplay It´s just like the first one but with different enemies and better signs for enemy attacks, it stills confuses me that sometimes the same symbol is used to describe different things

I love the game! If you played the original, this is that, just a lot better! combat is better, enemies are generally a LOT better, encounters seem to have a lot more thought behind them, but if there is one thing you should be aware of is, elemental resistances are really important which I can't say I love but I can get behind it.

If you played the first Tails of Iron I would really recommend trying Whiskers of Winter out, it expands the lore, new weapons, new spells, more species to fight, crafting, and so much more. I really hate the fact that Wiskers of Winter is a lot shorter, hopefully they expand on that with a free dlc. Edit: I wanted to expand more on my review after viewing the negative reviews on this game. Yes Whiskers of Winter is easier, yes spells are somewhat useless (I use them to stall) Yes almost all the bosses have the same attacks but despite all of those issues I still had fun playing it and im going to 100% the game soon. Get it at a discount.

I would recommend this game, but I think it has to be said that there are aspects of Tails of Iron 2 that fall short of the first installment. The fighting is not nearly as tight or robust as the first game. While I appreciate the addition of marked area of effect attacks, there are occasions where you will get hit by the attack while staying out of the marked zone. Likewise, the addition of a shield bash is a cool idea, but when its controls are the same as the block and move controls, occasionally you will shield bash when you want to block and end up getting hit. Both of these instances is extremely frustrating and totally take you out of the game. The story is not nearly as good or charming as the first game either. It's a sort of GoT parody, which isn't bad, but doesn't feel inspired. overall 7 or 8.

If you want to play a good game, buy Tails of Iron, if you want to play a bad version of that game, buy this one. How disappointing.

While this Sequel was pretty good and improved a few things from the first game, i did have some problems with it. -The story is even more expanded now and shows the aftermath of what you did in the first game which is cool! I just wish the intro didn't spoil you who you actually were. Could of worked SOO well at the ending as a huge twist. Speaking of the ending, it felt very rushed..? It's almost as if the devs didn't know how to end the final quest so they just left it very weirdly. Hopefully whenever the Expansion comes out they can end it properly. -The enemy variety is also more expanded with new enemy factions and new creatures but most of them feel very underutilized compared in the first game. Heres a good example: Grubs were common and infested deep below undergrounds, which you would of spent alot of time in it and met every kinds of Grub, so you know what to expect going down there whenever you had to do a quest or side quest as long as you had the right tools to deal with them. The sequel does offer wildlife creatures like backstabbers, spiders and worms but they just feel underutilized because they appear at certain times and you probably won't see them at all for the matter. ESPECIALLY the grubs, you don't see them as much often. Sure, you move to different lands so it would make sense that grubs just couldn't adapt in certain places but the Rift of all things was perfect for them to infest and expand due to the amount of putrefactions and dead bodies were there since Grubs are attracted to these. Tails of Iron 1 felt more of a story for these creatures rather than just being a enemy that you grind for items you need to make in the second game. It is nice to see that the tribal frogs remnants captured some grubs and use them as a ride but once again you only see them once or twice in the quests, making them underutilized and waste potential for more given lore to the game. -The side quests in the sequel are not as much engaging like they were in the first game. Most of the side quests are just doing the samething over and over again, this was justifiable in the first game because it felt like you were really progressing with your journey and offered new challenges along the way. Somehow the sequel makes the side quests generic, boring and just unegaging. Regardless to that i still did them all and i was very dissapointed whenever i had to deal with the same reskin bosses for the 50th time. Especially the final 5 side quests that you unlock right after beating the game. Most annoying part is that whenever you hit a side quest boss a couple of times they are scripted to retreat, making you move to the other corner of the map to fight them again and finish them off, making the side quests unecessarily longer than they should be. Honestly if you remove that, these will just be really shorter than the side quests of the first game and thats probably why they went with that decision but i am just assuming at that point but i just really hope that the expansion is gonna fix all of these problems for me. Whenever that comes out that is.. -Combat feels so much easier than the first game. With the addition of having elemental powers to your character the game just becomes a cakewalk. The fact you can poison, fire, electrify and freeze enemies just makes them very vulnerable for easy kills, even on Bosses. It won't matter if you disable the damage indicators or seeing exactly where they will charge at you. You have a good amount of powers at your disposal and can just straight up spam them at the enemy. You can even find upgrades for your powers which makes them even more POWERFUL than they already are, you don't really have to use them at all, sure but the fact you can get upgrades for the elemental powers just makes it feel like they are encouraging you to use them frequently than not. It honestly made the traps and potions underutilized because of having infinite elemental powers that you would use frequently i only EVER use these a few times but after having all the elemental powers with their upgrades, it just made the potions and traps pretty pointless for me. Despite the problems i had with the Sequel i still had a good experience out of it with the main quest but it did not improve certain things that made the first game very good and memorable. We'll see when the expansion comes out.

100% the game all I can say is. It's ok. It's not as good as the first. The boss system is ok, but when you get some decent gear every single one of them is dead before the fight even starts, breaking up the mini bosses into 3 parts is more annoying than anything else because you have to chase them down. The fast travel is decent, the combat is more the same, but the elemental things dont really feel like they are different from each other, poison, freezing, burning, electric...ing all just stun you for a few seconds. Finding weapons in the first game felt more rewarding than this one. But nomatter my complaints, the game is still genuinely fun. If you like the first one, you will like this one. If you haven't played a Tail of iron game? Go play the original.

This game is like ordering your favorite sandwich twice. It doesn't really do anything new since the first time you had it but is more of the same goodness. Would recommend for anyone that enjoyed the first game!
