I was bored to death playing the game but the ending was worth it

I got into the genre because of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim after Steins;Gate. I mostly just want to get it a thumbs up. This VN deals with mortality and just a lot of day to day to life. So I would go into it thinking like that. I suffer from reality disconnects too and can sadly relate to a lot of the characters. I also did just fidget around a lot to get more lucidity at the beginning. Seeing if I did everything or not before advancing the story. Also I rarely used lucidiy. I'd like to try to get closer to 100 percent completion, but I saw the finishing points. That last chapter of that was longer than I expected. I just say it's an honest read, that definitely deals with vulnerabilities. Sorry this review reads so awkardly. I didn't know how to phrase certain things and wrote this originally very late into the night. I did some editing.

A short (~14 hours to read all of the content), but sweet VN which takes places in 2010s Florida, and is ostensibly about the last day of summer before going off to college. The story is primarily focused on the characters and their relationships, and I think it does a pretty good job of getting you invested in understanding them better. There is no voice acting at all and the music can be a little bland in many scenes. The game is also a little glitchy: on a few different occasions when loading a save or coming back to the window after looking at something else, an error box would pop up and the game would freeze. It's not a big deal overall. The game warns you about deleting saves: this happens after each "chapter". Don't worry about it too much; at the end, scene select gets unlocked so it's easy to see anything you might have missed. On the plus side, the artstyle is quite good. Overall, it's worth a read, especially given its short length and price point. I'm always happy to see smaller teams putting out quality work and I only wish they got more attention.

Bought this entirely because it takes place in Central Florida, and I wanted to support a visual novel that takes place where I have only ever been and known; really brief review: the writing does an amazing job at elevating characteristics of Florida from how it uses hurricanes (especially how chapters are referred to as hurricane categories) and the ambiance of seagulls and the backdrop of rocket launches framing everything. The start of the story (categories 1~4) I don't think are very good and often just feel like wheel-spinning of the story where (as a reader) you'll likely feel a tedium of knowing exactly where the story is going and exactly what the gameplay loop is doing--and the author is aware of it, too; the dull formulaic first few categories set-up for the thesis of "what this story is about" revealed in the final category, and there I think the writing is truly special--this final chapter, and the journal entries, and the entirety of the "finishing touches" epilogue are worth reading and worth your time, even if you don't care at all about Central Florida. Loved it dearly, especially the very-very end, and it made me very sad about the people I knew and loved here that never hit escape velocity (haha yuck; dead is dead, though).

This turned out so much better than I could have imagined at first. It's not for everybody, but this novel is fantastic for those who can understand and relate to its themes, which you may not realize it has at first. It may appear as a horror at times, but the scares are pretty mild, so if anybody's wondering, yes, this novel is jumpscare-free. It gave me a lot to think about by the time I got to the ending, so if you think it's a novel for you, then by all means listen to your gut and give it a look.

I really love this game. I remember playing the original and thinking "this game been free is insane, I would pay for this. Hours of content, replayability, a good story. So when I found this one, of course I had to played it too, or maybe again. Even thought this game has more to offer than the original, I would say the extra content is not that much, but it does change the game and the way you interpret certain character. Not gonna lie, the first time I was Ms. Lawrence sprite I was a bit shocked because it look so diffetent from the others. It was kinda funny. I also encountered an issue during my playthought, and I asked the community for help. The dev saw my post and before I could even answerhe had fixed it. I was so surprise! Like, imagine writting to the EA supprt system that your Sims game is acting out again and the ACTUALLY FIXED IT, or even just respond, Mind blown. But seriously, my compliments to the devs for the love and dedication, and making a great game. Looking forward to the next one!
