I was really enjoying this game and looking forward to future updates. However, as of version 0.7.50, it no longer runs properly under Proton. Parcels no longer appear on the map, making it unplayable, and even with just the HQ, the game freezes every few seconds. I hope to see this issue resolved and look forward to updating my review in the future.
That being said it is a game that has a ton of potential, and future official support for Linux is on the developers road map.

Incremental Factory is an amazing game, that scratches the Factorio itch, without the fear of it being a huge timesink. Granted, I've played more then 80 hours (most of it AFK) idling my factory in the past week, but I've created a monstrosity of a base, pushing the engine to it's limit (or at least my pc).
It's nice and clean, intinuitive controls if you play with keyboard and mouse and the gameplay is quite fun! Going into challenge runs right now, if this is where the development ends, I've had well of my moneys worth in this game!

the game definitive have something good going on here and if the devs keep going i am pretty sure it will get a very good INCREMENTAL (NOT IDLE, some people seem to not get that point) game.
but FOR NOW, i give it a thumbs down. (i am very sure this will change over time)
let me sort out a bit why:
Cons:
it is imo very early and have lots of bugs and it also feels very clunky and unintuitive. almost nothing is explained and many things are confusing. visuals could be much better. UI elements also feel very unfinished.
so imo it feels very bare bones and so the price is way to high. with such a high price, people expect the game to be at least in a good polished state, but this game is not!
Pros:
the combination of a factory builder and incremental game with kind of a tower defense element is nothing new, but the way this game is doing it is very good!
with more dev time, this will get a gem in the incremental genre!
the devs are very active in the discord and you can talk to them almost any time and get responses.
and ofc even with all the negative things mentioned above IT IS FUN already if you like incremental games.

Building is nice, in need of a bunch of improvements and bugfixes, but nice overall.
However the "excavation" battle mode is just so bad and a permanent blocker that I can't recommend this. You easily reach all research and guns you can have for your stage just to get stomped anyways. The only thing you can really build more by farming is walls, so all that's left to do is fill your screen with walls and hope for the best. Sorry, but that just sucks.
