If you need your Fire Emblem itch scratched, this title will do it to some degree. I'll give the dev props for focusing on gameplay instead of silly things like dating simulators or unit relationships. This title is purely gameplay, with short cutscenes thrown in between some battles. Minimal animations, clear battle result info panels - the dev nailed the pure tactical aspects. Unfortunately the stupidity of RNG (95% misses, while enemies crit at 1%, anyone?) and fodder units (Jane, why do you even exist? Every NPC swordsman on the planet is better than you are, at EVERYTHING) also comes with it. You can mitigate the RNG, of course, through appropriate weapon and unit match-ups, but that doesn't guarantee anything, and you can still easily have a unit or two wiped because one person missed, or one enemy unit doubled on a 10% chance. Thankfully, the dev didn't add permadeath, and also handily added a 'restart battle' button in the Escape menu. Unthankfully, the 'restart battle' makes you watch the pre-battle cutscene every time, so you're often better off setting up your units at the start, beginning a battle, then just exiting to the main menu and loading your game.
I do like the touch of having unit growth being a combination of personal stat growth along with the equipment the unit uses, and it does track each stat's experience nicely on the unit stat sheets.
Overall a solid offering, especially for the price, and the positives far outweigh the negatives.

This game has potential. I ran into one bug that caused a freeze but the Dev fixed it right away. For the meager price, if you want to get it and fool around with it and it is fun. I ask the Dev to please map the arrow keys like the WASD keys for map scrolling for us left-handed players, and he did right away. The play style is interesting. I think there is potential here for further development. Also, you do not have to survive with all of your troops per engagement, just reach the exit with at least one of them alive. There is no troop perma-death, your troopers show up alive for the next engagement. I assume the penalty for getting them killed is that they don't keep any more experience during that engagement and therefore do not advance as fast. Good luck to the Dev and future players.
