Despite the fact of having to pay for everything, so the F2P bs comes was false advertising bc of the limitations imposed to free players, and even the premium players dont really have everything at their disposal with amount of money they pay. This is one of the worst F2P systems i had the displeasure of encounter here on steam, and was much was i like the game and had fun with it, it simply against my standards to recommended it bc of such advertising vs what you really get, more so, if you arent in the mood to invest money in the game, you will quickly reach a wall that you cant pass otherise. Dont take me wrong, DCUO is fun and have interesting gameplay, various missions and heroes to play, just isnt a free game at all and in end cost much more that 5 triple A games if you pretend to complete the game like any other you play. Just have that in mind before you start your playthrough bc i really doubt you wait for sales if you get engadged in game and end trowing more money that the game really deserve.

Honestly this is one of the best games i have ever played. It has amazing everything. I really enjoyed using every power and playing for each mentor. But then there's the bad side. After lvl 30 it sorta gets... kinda boring. All episodes cost around $15 which in the end really sucks. and if you want the really dope powers? you gotta pay. Honestly the developers should make EVERYTHING about this game free if they really want a good feedback from the community. And also adding some new mentors and clothing could be neat too. Because honestly playing for the same mentor with the same limited clothing items gets EXTREMLY boring. In the end, this game is really dope and one of my top favorite games (number 2 to be exact) but it could use some touches and fixes. Definetly recomend.

If you like play a super hero or villain from your past, or still doing it. You will enjoy this game. You will be mentor by on of the three iconic characters. Your main goal is to get strong and defeat your main enemy. But the problem of this game is depend of players by looking for group on duty tab, Big pile of DLC that will make you forget the main story board, and the market space price can be high.

sure would love to play this game without being forcibly disconnected at any moment for no reason. sometimes the disconnects are funny, like talking to an npc, and hearing "meow" before the came crashes. some of them are excruciating, like when i disconnect in the middle of a raid. but the worst of them are also some of the most frequent. and by "worst", i mean the game freezes, be it on a black loading screen, or after i die, and the game refuses to let me tab out or close the window to the point where i have to restart my ENTIRE SYSTEM just to remove the damn thing. and i love this game to death! my play time will show as much! its just excruciating that such a long running game that people play TO THIS DAY is built on code that breaks at any and all stimuli to the point where it may as well be wet tissue paper. but to make a long rant short, if you're willing to trudge through all of the crashes, bugs and disconnects and love DC and MMOs, give this a try. but dont risk it if you cant handle frequent issues that only seem to become worse and more frequent by the day.

This is a very difficult game to enjoy, and it's not because of any one thing. The superhero genre is at its peak across mediums. So, one would expect that with DCUO being one of only two MMOs set in the superhero genre, it wouldn't be difficult all that difficult to make an amazing game. Indeed, this game has some of the best ideas I have ever experienced in an MMO... yet manages to bork the implementation of every single one of them. First, lets talk about character creation. At first glance, it looks pretty decent. There are a fair selection of quality starter items, and lots more can be unlocked by playing the game. Unfortunately, those unlockable costume pieces are unlocked *per character*, which means you can never actually start with the character look you *want* to have. In some cases, unlocking the pieces you need to complete your character's look can take *weeks* of grinding for *hours every day*. This purposeless, artificially-limited aspect of the game has all but destroyed DCUO's role-playing community. And if you know anything about the tight bonds that role-players bring to a game, then you'll recognize the assinine idiocy behind the way this game's character creation continues to be handled. On a somewhat less-intolerable note, the colour pallet is limited to storing four colours. They can be any colours you want, but once you pick them, all of your costume pieces are limited to those four colors. The power and weapon sets in this game are probably it's biggest boon during power creation. They really are fantastic, even if some of them are locked away behind paywalls. The missions are fun and not too tedious, even when replayed. And there's lots of raids, PvP, and open-world events, too. DCUO is often compared to Champions Online, the only other active MMO in the genre. This game has better gameplay, a better setting, better combat, better enemies, better raids, and better overall content. Yet, DCUO universally considered a vastly inferior product based almost solely on gamers' (in)ability to create the character appearance they want from the start. Ultimately, if you're looking for a game to create the superhero of your dreams, go for Champions Online. If you're looking for a game with an active community, go for Champions Online. If you're looking for a game to role-play a superhero of your own creation, go for Champions Online (or Paragon Chat). If you're looking for a game to play with friends, go for Champions Online. But... if you're looking for a game that has great content to solo, and you don't care about how your character looks, or that lots of powers and weapons are stuck behind payways, and you only intend to play one or two characters, then... THEN... consider DCUO. But honestly, you'll probably have more fun in Champions Online--which is sad, because Champions Online really isn't that good of an MMO.

Not really sure what to say about this. I'm conflicted because the game is pretty fun to play, even if you're a solo player but it's all together pointless if you have no intention dropping any money on anything. The game feels like it's trying really hard to force you to spend money, near enough everything is locked behind a pay wall and that's just disgusting practice. There's no "Luring you in" either it's just "No. Money. Or you get nothing" instead of "Hey try this feature out and if you like it, why not help us support the game" For an example, the most you can have in your wallet at any one time is $1,500. Anything over that goes in to your Escrow and 1500 can buy you next to nothing and anything it can buy you you'll likely have out-leveled in about ten minutes. This also means you can't really buy much from the Auction House either. Now "Escrow Accounts" are nothing new in F2P MMO's but at least in other games you are allowed a sufficient and substantial ammount of in game currency so that you don't feel like something as simple as purchasing items is locked behind a pay wall. You'll constantly spend your time thinking "Oh that looks really cool" or "That's a cool idea" and then go to try these things out only to be greeted by a plague of a paywall. Fun game held back by ridiculous pay wall. tries too hard to force you to spend money.

Corrupt staff Corrupt Forum mods Corrupt system of money grabs Horrible game Stay away. Very unprofessional team; you can give your feedback if you wish, but they take this personally and will remove you from the forums. The stats revamp looks to make things worse. I suspect even more angry customers "Soon." They do not listen to feedback. My advice? Go here http://store.steampowered.com/app/9880/ Or support these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mnh8-Qs1Ys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nj1WF5eljI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mCcQ6p2RVs DayBreak gaming is the worst gaming company on the planet. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE SNAKES. This establishment needs to shutdown; they are a poison to the mmo community. They are crooked people. The day DCUO ends will be the best for the superhero community, we don't need crap like this destroying the image of DC. I know the pickings of superhero games are slim, but stay away from this one.

Good combat. Worst endgame I've ever seen. Extremely pay to win and very predatory, gambling addicts beware. If you want some mindless superhero action it's good, BUT that's all you're getting unless you dump 1k+$ or years of dead content grind + 100$, plus you need to be enslaved by a league to get sizable buffs. You won't be taken to any content that isn't pure faceroll if you didn't meet these conditions. Also devs might break your powerset(class) in any given hotfix so you have to pay to change it. Balance is a joke because of this fotm chase they create. Legit over 50% difference in dps between bad and top tier powerset. New forms of p2w are constantly added to ensure maximum milking. Endgame attracts elitist people with a clear deficit of intelligence and oversized egos, devs were pretty specific about filtering out others.
