The best rpg I've play in perhaps the last 10 years. I have nothing bad to say about it.

So much more than the sum of it's parts. This is the epitome of "if only we could take a TTRPG and make it in RPGMaker-vibes" (though it is not). And it WORKS. Constant skill checks (esp in conversation, which can change the course of your narrative if rolled poorly), combat is engaging as hell later (though it does start off kinda basic) with "the more you use, the better/more effective it becomes". The standout for me was how spell/skills would get 1 slot for a modifier, than 3 for next tier, than an EVOLUTION (that is random, but you can savescum!) that sometimes, changes it completely--not only does it just get 'stronger' (25% dmg, 10% crit chance or crit dmg), but now the skill/spell: is free, or costs WP instead of MP (or HP!), or does it three times for the price of one, or gives you invincibility for the next round, or is now AOE (game changer for buffs/stealings/single-target dot's) and so much more.
The plot as well, wow....I am an English teacher and I've been playing jrpgs for 20+ years. At first it's your standard affair, but MAN ALIVE does it elevate itself later. There are LAYERS of lore in this game. I was, multiple times, blown away by a reveal, or just the WORLD BUILDING is just *sooooooooo* much more nuanced and flesh-out than it seems on the surface (note: as a dnd 5e DM for 5+ years, I was very impressed by this aspect).
PS Played nearly 50 hours on normal and the difficulty for the first 2/3rd of the game was challenging, but absolutely fair. Later, when you 'break' your character with their build/grinding for Weapon Talents, etc. the secret/optional bosses are tuned perfectly to still challenge your party.
If you like TTRPG's/JRPG/FF/DQs old-school class system, than I can, wholeheartedly and passionate, highly recommend you give "Nameless: SD" a shot and try the demo if you're not sure!).
PS I have over 20 screenshots from this, and I'm not one to screenshot much in games. Nearly all of them are lore-climax-reveal moments, and only a couple are some sick ass dragons (especially the GOOD ending final boss fight(s), wow, PEAK payoff with the *ancient heroes* doing their *spoiler* against Zorust for going down the difficult-to-achieve path, which I didn't know I had qualified for until I looked it up to check how the endings worked!)

I am HOOKED. Omg ya'll this game is so much fun~
Excellent graphics and music. My only complaint with the music is that it tends to get a little repetitive to hear the same themes in battle, but that issue is easily overlooked because
WOW are the battle mechanics great. And HOLY CRAP the story is so good. Dynamic characters and world-building. It seems like a generic, male-MC-save-the-world thing but the more I play, the more am I surprised by the depth in the story (and a nagging feeling that maybe I am not playing as the main character).
I could not put this game down last night and now I know what I am going to do this weekend. I really look forward to what this studio ends up making in the future

Purely amazing and refreshing gameplay. There are some technical issues with the engine though.

Glorious game all around. Rarely do I care about character stories. Well done.
Two complaints: (1) Allow the inventory and skills/magic menus to be organized manually. (2) Outfit options for character sprites.
