It's a bit cheeky that RSC (Now DTG) would release a payware reskin, especially when all the other addons at the time were released with several different liveries. You would think that RSC would improve on the sounds and the modelling of this reskin, considering the Kuju HST was already 3 years old at that time, but of course they didn't.
On to the quality of the skin itself, quite frankly it's rubbish. The colours are a bit off, compared to images of the train in real life, the colours are a bit too saturated on the TS version. Furthermore the green on the TS version is way too dark compared to the real life livery. The First logo on the TS version has a black background on it, I'm assuming RSC forgot to remove it before selling this to the general public, despite the fact that it is an incredibly obvious mistake.
Despite the fact that the mistakes are so blatantly obvious, the fanboys cannot admit that RSC has made a mistake. I feel like I'm the only sane person in the world sometimes.
Avoid at all costs.

TS as a game is great if you have a great high quality pc gamer to play it on, but, if you've got a run of the mill pc you'd need to run the game at low graphics. Then it can run beautifully some sections a litle slow but overall cool. I LOVE Western Mainlines!!! London to Brighton amongst others too, but there's 2 probs I have. My number 1 problem atm is Steam's Green & gold valenta HST that runs in scenarios on the original 'Great western mainline' which does the 'Paddington to Oxford semi fast stand in and 2 others I think. Here's my dislikes; the colours are dull & dismall, the train runs slow at certain points where as others do not, the engine is horrible, a bit harsh actually I apologise it's just the newer AP valenta enhancement pack would souns so so much better give the cab improved quality, solve the slow speed (at certain stages) problem, is there a way to do this? or maybe switch it with the AP 'fag packet' version instead? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Glenn.

What is the point of putting in career scenarios if they don't even provide enough points to get a silver star?

Pros:
- price!
- better in-cab sounds than the standard HST
Cons:
- still no cab lighting
- no passenger view
- inadequate point rewards for completing scenario objectives. no way to get a gold medal in any of them
I think it's more than OK for the price. If you liked the standard HST, then you will like this addon as well.

despite not having a passenger view...
it's okay, probably would've been best to include it with the game (or the European Assets pack if you didn't own TS2012) to begin with alongside the already included FGW Barbie livery.

Ah, this takes me back...
The infamous First Great Western 'Fag-Packet' livery is what I can remember seeing as I grew up whenever I was around the GW Mainline - I prefer it to the so-called 'Barbie' livery that was adopted in later years. And driving it in Train Simulator? Well, it's no different to driving the standard HST, albeit you have a Guard's Whistle sound after you pick up passengers. However the 'First' logo does look like a sticker, but this is only a minor complaint. It makes up for it with the price, as you get 3 scenarios to try and master. As with the NSE Class 47, I recommend this for anyone starting out in Train Simulator, wishing to start buying DLC.

Again costs £3 to purchase, it's not worth, not buying it. If they're having a sale and this loco is on discount, you'd have to be daft, not to try it... Drive this regular from Preston to Glasgow.
*Please note, this loco does not have a passenger view*

This is a good reskin of the HST. I accept that this was made in the days before marketplace. Here's my opinion in detail...
PROS -
Cheap, cheap cheap cheap cheap!
The livery looks fantastic in whatever quality your settings are on.
Looks very at home on Rivera and GWML
CONS -
Um... Lemme think,
Nope
In conclusion. This loco, for some reason (this is rare) gets a 10/10 for me.

Nice train and at 90% off ($0.49 Total) during the steam summer sale, it is extremely cheap and totally worth it. Note that the scenarios are for the Great Western Main Line (As of when I am writing this, it does not say that in the description)
