*As of writing this i did not finish this game.*
*NO SPOILERS*
PROS:
Levels are well realised, exploration is rewarding and fun. untill it isnt.**
Bosses were fun untill they werent.
Game looks nice, artstyle is solid.
Runs smooth, did not encounter single problem, probably not even a single framedrop.
Game is easy*** and beginer friendly.
Combat feels nice most of the time****.
CONS:
Story? What story. Moments and maybe that one character was great. rest?....
Characters? What characters? Oh that one that does not feel like chess piece. Yeah...
** I see this problem in many recent soulslike releases, why there must be some bullcorn every 20 seconds. Mobs that try to throw me off the cliff every 20 seconds. WHY? ranged mobs that can shoot at me through half the level, WHY? Its not hard, it does not take skill to deal with it, its just annoying and frustrating. And i dont like that.
*** Game is easy and that is good. Until it isnt. Sweet mother of God there are some difficulty spikes. Especially humanoid bosses are not fun and good in this game. Few reasons, they do not match the difficulty of the rest of the game, they require perfect timings, dodges. Have really small windows for dmg, or healing and one mistake can result in death. Rest of the bosses feel (in most of souls games tbh) like turn based, you attack, i dodge, i attack........ Not here. Almost forgot... what the actuall F were those windups and delayed attacks. Sweet baby Jezus that was canc...not great. I dont mind few, here and there, keeps me on my toes, but most of the attacks on any given boss were delayed. WHY? Its not difficult, its annoying. windup for ages. I can bust, have child born and teach it how to play this game before those attacks hit.
**** Combat, yeah, is great untill bosses mentioned above. Many weapon arts and spells become absolute on these hyperactive bosses. No chance in hell you squeeze more than 1-2 fast attacks. Why you give me fun tools just to take them away on your hardest content.
Last but not least. Movement is so god damn wierd, feels like im on ice skates all the time, i was dreading every new platforming part of any level.
6,9/10 over all. Still recommend. There is so much potential in these devs, I look forward their next project.

Ai Limit is a fun and interesting Souls-Like that feel's like a love letter to Dark Souls 1 but with much more forgiving mechanics than other's in the Genre.
Many time's throughout the game I got the same feeling I had when playing Dark Souls 1 when looping back on previously explored area's - Something that is sometime's lost or forgotten when it come's to newer Souls-like's. Ai Limit pull's this off multiple times and give's the same feelings of relief when finding shortcut's or looping back to an previously explored area.
The World and Lore of this game are certainly a highlight - as you make your way through a World that has been ravaged from Two warring faction's - Fighting Corrupted mud creatures, Robots, Humans, Androids, Robot's that found God, Human's that found God and Creature's that would fit in to an Analogue Horror series you'd randomly find Online. It really is a Souls-like through and through where you have pick-up Story and Lore information from Items and NPCs found on your Journey. Although I found it to be quite easy to follow along with what is going on compared to other games in the Genre.
The game held my interest all the way through to the End-Game, It doesn't do too much new with Souls-like Combat but the enemy's you fight and the placement of which can make for a fun time traversing throughout the game - The game introduce's some of the earlier Bosses as Mini-Bosses to fight throughout - But something that dawned on me was that I didn't really feel like I was in the End-Game, This is due to one Mechanic being very powerful and quite forgiving.
Parrying - Almost every attack from the Standard Enemies all the way to End-Game bosses can be parried and the window for parrying seem's a lot bigger than I expected letting me get away with thing's I didn't think I could - Some bosses have a "Sync Rate" meter much like the you do - Parrying these will not give you the standard Poise Break but will knock the Sync Rate down more and more until eventually you will break their Poise, for how forgiving the parrying is I wished that this was featured on more Bosses to not make them a total pushover.
The game is focused almost exclusively on Melee combat but still features spells which you can only equip one at a time - While there is enough Weapons to offer some Build Variety it never felt like I was locked in to my choice of Weapon and could pick up any Weapon when I found it. The game does offer a respec if needed.
Overall it's a pretty good Souls-like which is a good start for people new to the genre that may feel intimidated by other's in the Genre while offering a similar experience to Dark Souls 1 which would make for an entertaining time for those who are fans of the Genre.

AI Limit is a solid game. It is not perfect but never bad. The story is meaningful, the pacing is smooth, and the layered map design feels well thought out. For their first game, it is impressive.

Fun combat, but the enemy variety is really low, you end up fighting the same enemies in basically the same 3 environments over and over again. Exploration is okay, but levels are just too grid like to be fun, the best locale in the game is totally optional and easy to miss. Difficulty wise it's actually pretty good, they must have tuned it since launch as most bosses presented some kind of challenge and all required multiple attempts, and generally gave that satisfying feeling when you finally beat them without being frustrating or feeling unfair. I think if they improved the enemy variety and added a couple more additional locations instead of taking you back to the sewers and the church over and over again it would be a very solid game, but as is feels very much like a budget title and nowhere close to being on par with something like Lies of P or Wuchang, not to mention actual Fromsoft games.

This is a neat little soul-like game with its own charm of exploring every nook and cranny. I enjoyed the story and the gameplay from beginning to ending, especially the boss battles. Looking forward to future installments if the devs decide to go that route. This gets a 9/10 from me. Highly recommend giving this one a shot.

AI Limit is an anime styled souls like game that surprised me, I had a lot of fun with it, more than I expected going into it. I initially thought the bosses and overall gameplay were a little too easy, however later on the game really starts to shine with it's bosses and challenging gameplay, it gets better the more you play it.
Now with all that being said, it does have it's weak moments, could the combat be better or more in depth? Sure. Could there be more enemy variety and areas? Sure. But overall for the price point and what they've done, it's a pretty good experience and the story / side quests and characters aren't half bad either, I think they did a good job within their budget.
I'd say my favorite part of the combat system is there's no stamina or MP bars like in traditional souls games, so when it comes to spell gameplay I had a blast not having to constantly worry about MP, I could play fast paced without a stamina bar to replenish energy to cast spells.
You'll definitely get your bang for your buck here, it's modestly priced at $34.99 (even cheaper on sales) and honestly you can get more gameplay out of it than most modern full priced titles nowadays, of course that also depends on if you do a NG+ run, it took me approximately 35 hours to initially beat it and 54 hours after NG+ which to me is well worth it.

What a great game! Totally recommended.
This game has everything: an excellent main character development, great side quest, map design, impeccable lore, graphics are amazing, headwear and armor designs are unbelievably good. In conclusion Ai Limit is a game that will keep you playing and wanting more and more. I had fun since the beginning to the end, always wanting to find more and more about what was going to happen next.
I played it in my Steamdeck and the game runs great, I would love some sort of update or a optimization patch just for the Steamdeck so frames would be a little more consistent but overall great experience.
P.S. IGN CAN STICK UP THEIR ASS THAT WEAK RATING.
