Some cards are certainly weaker than others. Building to force your enemy to bust seems rather consistent and stronger than most else. I find it fun, soundtrack is nice, sound effects are 𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺. I enjoy it. :)

Very fun, and engaging. Just an enjoyable way to play a blackjack game and seems fair enough.

Incredibly fun, although I think it's a bit too easy, especially when it comes to enemy decks.

Played my share of runs somewhere around 1.1 - 1.2
Never had to look up a wiki or guides, some of the mechanics are a bit subtle, but ultimately communicated well enough to give you a delightful sense of discovery.
Got wins with most of the decks, I believe I played through to the "Final Ending" ( which is worth spoiling as little as possible )
That being said, I've done my best not to spoil anything below, I've just wrapped it in the tags as a courtesy.

The "True ending", when you unlock it, is a delightful little treat. If you stick with the game long enough to get there, I have no doubt you'll appreciate it.
That being said, I vaguely recall feeling a little bit underwhelmed by it.
Let me be clear, I was NOT disappointed, I guess I just expected a bit more out of the delivery.
Maybe it's refined in the new update, I wouldn't know, I haven't hopped back in yet.

If you've enjoyed Balatro and you're looking for something else to scratch the itch from a different angle, you'll probably enjoy this.
Despite the handful of superficial similarities ( Nutty fantasy gambling sim roguelite that doesn't take itself seriously at all ) D&DG takes an entirely different path to explore the design space and flesh out a thoroughly delightful little game.
Ultimately, I mean, like, just watch the trailer. It is what it looks like. If you're checking the reviews to see if it falls short, it doesn't.
One thing I can really appreciate these days is that it never tries to sprawl outside of its scope. There's enough encounters and events to give you several hours of discovery and enjoyment, but there's not too many to where you start feeling overwhelmed. You get to a point where you generally understand what sort of randomness to expect, and feel confident in choosing between one thing or the other.
The difficulty curve seemed to balance the variety of the content nicely.
If you have "That itch to complete things" like I do, it holds you in the roguelite loop just long enough for you to thoroughly shake off the novelty and appreciate all the content a few times, and then it gives you a solid pat on the back and lets you off nicely :)
Anyways, Solid game.
Good job devs

D&DG is like Balatro but leaning more towards being a traditional deckbuilder. Many seem to complain about the heavy RNG in the game, and while it is true that sometimes you need to be a bit lucky in this game, I would say D&DG is more about risk vs reward than most deckbuilders. There are many aspects to this game, but the two most important factors are deciding on what cards to have in your deck and deciding when to stand or when to risk hitting again. You can choose to go for low value cards to slowly make your way to 21, you could go for riskier higher value cards to try and guarantee blackjacks, or you could go with my personal favorite style and use cards that actively sabotage your opponent's deck. There's plenty of build variety with all the cards available and plenty of ways the game tries to throw a wrench into your plans. Overall, this game is quite literally about knowing how to play the cards you're dealt.

I LOVE Balatro. I also like blackjack more than poker. Therefor I like this game at least as much as Balatro; negative reviewers are just Balatro superstans who are chronically online and should not influence you trying this super fun game out if you like laying down the BJ like I do.

this game is balatro but for actual smart people.
i say this because balatro requires you to use your brain, this game just requires you to press hit.
imagine using 90% of ur brain to minmax a poker deck when you can just use 5% to press hit
gives you more time to think about how to wrestle custody from sharon and whether or not it is morally or ethically healthy is sell feetpics on feetfinder to pay for next weeks rent while cosplaying as Astolfo.
10/10 would not recommend marrying a japanese woman

Pretty cool game ! It's like Balatro, with a little less LSD, but more whisky and cigar in it.
A lot of different builds possible, cool synergies, a ton of challenges !
