Another Jordan King banger. Funny, creative, ps1 style horror romp, ending kinda lame, but rest is so imaginative it doesn't matter.

Duo perspective plot was easily my favorite part about the game. Felt like a cheap detective noir with some b-movie horror thrown in, and I mean that in the most positive way possible, it's great. Game plays well, sniping sections were surprisingly fun and open, and is quite funny. Ending felt abrupt and a bit like a cop-out but honestly the story is silly enough it doesn't ruin the whole package.

Back when I last wrote a review for 'Night at the Gates of Hell' (Jordan King's last game), I had a lot to complain about. While this game is much better (significantly improved story-line, dialogue, sfx, atmosphere, jump scares) it still lacks severely in having actually good controls - which become especially problematic during the last horribly unfun, final boss fight. Furthermore, the game revolves around two characters. One being a detective, who has what seems to be numerous 'filler' missions which don't actually add anything to the game's overall experience and only serve as a boring interactive recap. Additionally, the detective's combat missions have this atrocious flashlight mechanic, which makes the player feel like they are looking at the game through a pringles can - rather than traversing through a dark environment. There is no excuse for this when dozens upon dozens of indie horror games provide the same thematic concept, but in a way that doesn't cause the player physical migraines. This pringle-canned-fov is further muddied down by the detective's gigantic hands blocking at least 40% of the screen. Decisions like this, make me wonder if the developer even understands what fun is. Here's to hoping he releases a game as good as Bloodwash again some day soon.

I really want to like this game... It starts out with a nice hook because of the cat and mouse style gameplay. When I say that, I mean you play as both the whacko sniper serial killer and the detective trying to crack the case and bust the perp... It is super cool to jump back and forth from these two characters and honestly it reminded me of some kinda low budget 80s horror / thriller (in a good way). Just the ending has me pretty confused, and honestly a bit disappointed. I was left wanting more of a resolution than what I got... So if you want a cheap 2 hour horror adventure I'd say go for it, but don't expect a story that will either make sense or answer any of your questions / tie up loose ends by the time the credits roll.

i thought the gameplay was very fun but i do wish i got to play as the sniper more. also the ending felt so abrupt i first thought i got a bad ending. i haven't played night at the gates of hell, but it seems like there's an overlapping story with bep's games in the torture star catalog. i would be kind of sad if this game only makes sense by playing other games, but i would also be sad if the game doesn't make sense at all. can't win either way. i would still say that the game is a good buy, its very short and i would say worth your time. just don't go in expecting a thrilling mystery, as it's just a fun spooky time.

I imagine this is one of the forms of schizophrenia, and I absolutely love it. The gameplay is top-notch, with a few genuinely scary moments. The headshot animations are also excellent. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys PS1-style graphics or sniper games. A solid 3 to 4 hours of gameplay, packed with fun, action, and some hilarious moments. A definite recommendation from me, especially if it's on sale. 10/10!
