low effort crap that barely works. i feel like lowpoly horrorslop at least needs atmosphere to work, and sometimes in this game the atmosphere is good, but its marred by poor scripting (both of game events and actual dialogue) and dumb technical issues.

I didn’t love this game after my first play-through, and it is undoubtedly an imperfect game. I think the story was a little lacking and the jumping around to different characters can kind of feel disjointed and disengaging. That said, weeks later, I feel kind of compelled to pick it up again. The quirky, gritty, grind house charm that this game outweighs its issues. It’s definitely not the best of these low res/ps1/puppet comboish games, but there’s definitely some enjoyment to be had. This is a fun, goofy little horror, mystery experience. Seems like it might be a fun game to replay every once in a while. Looking forward to the new update with extra levels tomorrow.

Has some weird quirks but I'm not sure if they are because I'm playing the game on Linux or if they are just currently in the game as is. For example, my cursor wasn't visible at all in the menu, so I had to rely on the highlights of the things I wanted to click on to see where I was hovering. Whenever I died, the blood overlay would stay on the screen and prevent the menu from showing up, and the only way to fix it was to close the game. The parade section has particularly poor performance for some reason, maybe due to the number of NPCs. For a few bucks, it's worth it for a few hours of entertainment.
