It's a ok 3d Platform. However making a collectable items. That don't do anything besides achievements makes me MAD! The Letters that you collect? They do jack didly! Keys? You would think it opens doors to new levels or something. Nope just for achievment, Same with all gems. I never seen a game that done that. And it infuriates me!

Feels and plays like a "Modern Donkey Kong Country Light" version. You can clearly see where the inspiration came from. Most of the time it plays like a classic 2D jump and run, but they've sprinkled here and there some 3D sections which is quit a cool idea and adds some depth. It's not a hard game at all and there is even a easy mode. There is also a COOP mode therefore it could be a good title to play with children. As I said, it reminded me a lot to the Donkey Kong Country series even if it's not as good as but still worth a try!

Looked fun. Bought on release day. It's a fun romp. :) I wonder if the directors cut helps to balance the bosses for a better play. The Mine level boss was a real pain. The rest were a piece of cake. The levels are fun, Non repetitive, and keep introducing mechanics as you progress in the game. and the music. . . it's a great listen. Plus I like the references they throw at you of other Platformers like this. I must play if you like games like this!!!

My wife and I recently completed a full play through of Nikoderiko and followed up with the Director's Cut on my PC via Xbox controllers. We really enjoyed the game a lot. It has great grahpics, humor, action, and reminded us of quite a few of the platform games like Crash Bandicoot, Raymand Legends, etc... The start of the game seems a bit light, but don't let it fool you, there is plenty of challenge to be had, and if for some reason you find the Normal difficulty too easy, there is a higher difficulty available with the addition of the Director's Cut, which is free if you already own the game. Great game to play co-op "couch-play" with someone as well! On a side note, the game ran fantastic on Linux (Fedora 42 KDE Plasma Desktop).

Just tried this game before work - man, it's JUST what I've been looking for! I love Crash and DKTF, but wanted something (with a high skill ceiling) for my Steam Deck. Just tried the hard mode, my word... Excited to have this as my main platform game going forward. The colours on the OLED pop beautiful! Steam deck recommendation, set fullscreen and resolution to 1150x720 (or whatever it is), then FSR sharpness up to 5 in the SD side menu, its gorgeous!
