Hard game to even beat the first boss, and after you die progress starts from 0, the stages are repetitive and ntg new after awhile gets boring. no for me

I hit a wooden fish 107 times with a wooden ladle to receive 107 Merit in a meditation room. I do not know what Merit is or does, as the game is *technically* but too literally and strangely translated. But it was, admittedly, meditative and relaxing to hear that “clonk” 107 times.
Combat and traversal are fantastic. Very smooth. Low-rent Dead Cells with an Asian motif and heavy history & lore it seems.

nice graphics, good control, nice character/level design…
I guess it’s kinda a metroidvania, or just action adventure. Whatevs, who cares? it’s good!
I love when a good game comes out that I wasn’t aware of, because there are too many that I wait for, and they end up not making it… maybe I need to stop paying attention completely? Nah, then I’ll miss out on all the heartbreak, and that’s no fun!

Got a bit baited by the artwork from the game's store page but it ended up still being a super nice experience!
Combat and movement felt dynamic and responsive; rooms were satisfying to clear; bosses were surprisingly difficult and had fun patterns to learn.
Good upgrades to pick while in a run and some useful meta-progression as well :3

For the price, its very good.
The combat has the snappiness of Hollow Knight with the constant dashing and slashes. The sprite work is actually really good if you pay attention, especially the regular sword combo
The bosses arent super hard except for maybe 1 or 2 of them, which is a great break from usual games wanting to be the next hollow night or dark souls
At the time of writing the music is pretty limited, but they are very well done.
Translations seem to be a little bit off at the moment, but its manageable.
Also looks like im the first english review lol
