I don't understand the reviews of this game. The only thing I can fathom is that it's only being reviewed by people located in Brittain. The humor is.. regional. The game is basically one part side-scroller, one part 2D adventure, one part British comedy sketch. You can only walk around, slap, and jump. There's little direction, even though the developers do make it so you're pretty much forced to go the only available route. Half the time I would start a quest, do three or four other quests, only to finish the first quest. Then, you - later in the game - end up back at the first quest giver to have them provide you with another task. It's confusing. I am somewhat baffled by the Overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Cute at first, then its just repetitive. 30 minutes into the game and I was already hoping it'd end

I recommend playing with a controller. Its short but the game is very well written and felt like a great British version of some of those old adult swim games. I'm a big fan!

Loved it. For some reason it reminded me of going to the movies 20 years ago with friends. It's an experience more than a game.

Humor in games is hard to do. Too often it's a joke that just gets beat into the dirt or it the game doesn't force you to see the gag so it might happen out of view. But Thank Goodness You're Here gets it right. The game isn't that long so nothing gets played out, and often operating like an interactive tv show, it makes sure you see the jokes. And the humor never stops being funny. If you like absurd British humor, get this game right now.

OMG so fun! Just a story of a fella forced to help a town with their tasks! Had very funny/witty banter between characters and broke the 4th wall a few times which kept you guessing what would come next. The gameplay is super simple, (you are only able to jump and smack ahah) so its an amazing puzzle game for beginners :). Overall 9.5/10, I absolutely loved this game and think everyone should play it. Only thing that was a bit frustrating is if you are going for 100% completion, you cant access a safe file, you will have to replay from the beginning :)

Exceptionally silly, clever, and hilariously weird in all the best ways! It’ll have you questioning why you even started, but before long, you’ll find yourself laughing uncontrollably. Then, it becomes an obsession—what else can I interact with?! The game is fairly short (1-2 hours), but it’s definitely worth experiencing. Give it a try! :)

Adorably animated, hilarious innuendos, and a storyline I found intriguing. I actually laughed out loud multiple times while playing. Highly recommend for a light-hearted and humorous pick me up game!! Though it took me two nights to finish, I wish this game was never ending!

Packed with nostalgic and silly local jokes, this brilliantly animated interactive movie lets us experience eccentric Yorkshire habits, with plenty of surreal body-horror style japes icing off the jokes.
This short slap-em-up adventure looks quaint in stills, but when animated is full of hilariously gruesome and innuendo-filled scenes with great comic timing, like a lost Northern South Park.
Plus bonus points for the artistic flair and accessibility of having alternative English subtitles for those unfamiliar with Barnsley slang.
