Really good movement, so good I feel like I barely scratched the surface after beating it. I feel like I was still learning new movement tech like 3/4 through the game. After I beat it I wanted more, but there wasn't anything left but the time trials, and while those are fun, It's not what I wanted. That said for the price you pay it's well worth it. And its better to want more then less.

It was a short but sweet kind of game. The movement felt great, the enemies and bosses had unique designs with varying move sets and the soundtrack was also really good. The only problem I had was that it was easy to get lost cause the map only tells you what room you're in but not where you are in the room. Other than that, this is definitely one of my favorite games and I'm excited for what the developer release next.

Very fun little metroidvania with a big focus on platforming/movement. Good to kill an afternoon or two with. Completely nonlinear, lots of potential skips possible. Combat and whatnot is a bit lacking but there's really not many enemies in the first place. No true double jump and honestly all the better for it, replaced with wall kicks that are a treat to get good with

I love this game so far. 50% of it is the mood and atmosphere (Seriously, the soundtrack is great), and the other 50% is the mario 64 style platforming

Short, sweet, charming. My playthrough file has 7 hours recorded, and that's with a little bit of side objectives, like getting whole map revealed and collecting some of the collectibles. I do wish it was a tinier bit more railroady, or had a better tutorial. Sometimes I didn't know whether I can't make the jump due to some movement option not yet unlocked, or I just got it wrong, all because I was so close to making the jump. Wall jump\wall bounce clashed a lot, frustratingly, but I'm not sure whether that's game problem or my problem. Overall, would recommend.

The most fun platformer I have ever played.
The movement feels great, and the music is a bop.

a beautifully captivating and, at times, psychedelic dream world encapsulated in a delightful homage to PS1-era gaming. unbelievably, mind-blowingly good for the price and the limitations of the self-imposed graphic constraints. short and sweet; artistic to a fault; simple yet engaging gameplay. if you've ever enjoyed 3D platformers and/or metroidvanias in your life, you needed to play this game yesterday. and yes, that soundtrack SLAPS.
only genuine complaints: little to no guidance, period. the recently-added map is surprisingly barren of most any details, and contains no indicators of precise player location. it's not hard to get fully and utterly lost. but in a charming little title like this, you'll hardly mind at all.
a heartfelt thank you to the team behind this game (the artists in charge of the OST, especially) for crafting an experience that will stay with me for years to come.

Thicc-ass goat ass is nice I suppose, but it's a little distracting. You can put some pants on, but that feels like a sacrilege. I don't know.
Anyway, the game. It wonderfully captures the "emulated Nintendo 64" aesthetic, with the huge textures and blurry sprites. I don't think the look is that good myself, but that's a matter of taste. What's particularly interesting is the deliberate limiting of animation frames, so the game looks more choppy than it actually is. A bold choice - but I think it does it too much. The first boss has a lot less animation frames than you, and I think his movements are a little below 10 FPS. Maybe you remember when people used to refer to low FPS as "slideshows", and this is exactly what that looked like. Note that I can't remember any N64 game that had animations this choppy - it looks like a Jaguar game or something. Which perhaps was the intention?
So that's all and good, but after beating the first area I just noped out. The game didn't manage to make me want to explore the world. The hallways were a little too empty, the music a little too repetitive, the plot a little too vague. Oh well.
A cynical side of me wants to say that this game only has this many reviews and this stellar because of the hypnotic goat butt, but I want to hold on to what little faith in humanity I have.

Someday, someone is going to make a game that takes 20 hours to beat and 50 hours to complete, and carries a sense of awe from the beginning of the playthrough until the end. And this person will have the same understanding of character movement and exploration that made Pseudoregalia so beautiful. Until that day comes, Pseudoregalia will remain as my favourite 3D metroidvania.

Why does the Voluptuous Furry Game have to be so damn good? Like I genuinely don't know what to say. I haven't had this much fun playing a game in a very long time. This game easily occupies the same place in my heart as some of my favorite Nintendo classics. Very well executed.
