Has potential. Not quite ready for prime time yet. Needs a bit more tactile immersion but the pieces are in place. Hope they can get it to Subnautica level immersive feel but may require a bit more interactive elements as Subnautica has the advantage of being in water with tons of eye candy and environmental constraints. Wishing them the best.

If you've ever or never played Breathedge, this game is much better, quite stable, and so far, a lot of fun. Definitely worth your time and money. SUPPORT THIS ONE!

No zombies or raptors coming into camp, stealing the food, thinking you are food... A few choice reads in the community from the starting point, and you'll eventually be hoarding resources. Plus there's a mini-boss in a lair. The first challenge is discovery and efficiency, and time limits. What you find is limited at first, including time. I like a good ratio of reward to risk. In this game you will risk your life stepping out your front door, but you get use to it. The current time challenge is waiting for the next update to pop. Balancing , realism, that would be challenging and it may be in the works. There are details in the game that suggest something interesting is coming.

If you like any of the games in the Subanutica series, you're bound to like Astrometica just as much: it has most of the same enjoyable game mechanics, and a good strong narrative structure - the color scheme of many of the game elements is even the same orange, white, and black. It's definitely something of a Subnautica hommage - there's even a direct visual reference to a type of Subnautica fish hidden away in one of the Astrometica environments. Astrometica is also remarkably bug- and glitch-free for a game in Early Access; In short, it's just this gamer's cup of tea, and if you're also a Subanautica devotee, you'd be missing out not to grab this game too.

Great game. Has some ways to go but for a game still in early access it has awesome potential

Absolutely loving this game! Put 10 hours in during the first day I got it and will be putting in many more hours. One thing that would make it even better tho is if there was multiplayer, that would be the icing on the cake and I'm really hopeful that the devs will consider adding it. Can't wait to see how this game progresses!

Maybe it will develop a bit but for now the start is incredibly boring and tedious. When you jetpack you have no inertia, you just slow to a near dead stop shortly after you let off the gas which makes traveling extremely slow. The O2 management is possibly the most tedious I've experienced in any game of this sort. Even after adding the oxygen tank you only get 100 seconds of air. You can refill your air with extra tanks but these cost resources and you can need as many as 5 just to bridge some of the gaps between areas with atmosphere. I read a trick you can use later where you (after unlocking a tool you don't have access to in the begingging) constantly build and tear down a portable atmosphere, which is very silly. Just give us more air.

Today we are looking at Astrometica, so come have a seat lets talk. This game has its sights and expectations set very high. Sadly, it falls short on both. There have been a lot of comparisons to other games and we are not going to do that. We are going to look at this game as it is and as it plays. Graphically: 4/10 About the only thing that looks amazing is the skybox. The rest... feels cookie cutter simple lame with even worse modelling. The same textures and blocks over and over and over again. Audio: 3/10 So many thinks that should have rich vibrant sounds even in space... dull. The sounds that do exist are either dull or annoying overall. Mechanics: 1/10 This is the bread and butter of most games so here I am going to be the most critical. Power should not be distributed to all structures as they are not connected. Plain and simple. Basic storage should not require refined items and larger storage should not be a pain to produce in the early game. 1 machine 1 job. A crafter should craft items not ingredients just as a smelter should refine items into better items. Not a crafter can do both here but the smelter is limited over there. etc Whats the purpose of this game? I don't know. I don't wanna read 10k things and while the intro video looks great there is no direction beyond the opening tutorial unless you read... I wanna play a game not read a visual novel. There are still basic mechanics that people have to ask about in the forums because they are not well explained. Out of resources? Just reload your save and they respawn... What the actual heck? REALLY?! I listed this section as mechanics instead of gameplay because I don't feel there is a game here really. I don't feel rewarded going out and trying to find ores that are only in one location with any density making it worth the trip, I don't feel rewarded grinding away for an unknown reason or purpose. So basically the entirety of this game boils down to the lamest of MMO quests... The Fetch Quest. Fetch this _______ so you can do _______. That's not fun. There is no narrative. If this were an engineering simulator then hey great but there is def not enough mechanically for that. There is really no way to fail at this game save one thing. One thing that is supposed to be your saving grace is actually a trap. Never ever use the unstuck button. Its not what or how that function is supposed to work AT ALL! You lose your entire inventory and if you were truly stuck.... ITS GONE! That is about the lamest mechanic I have ever seen. For crying out loud put them down to 10 health 10 hunger and 10 thirst but let them keep their stuff. If your meshing is crappy enough that you need an unstuck button.... why punish players for something that is not their fault?! REALLY?! Updates: I cant really give this one a number review to be fair and honest. Every developer has their own time frames and method. What I can say is that it feels really off though. In their most recent post they stated "We plan to release three major updates until June 2025, including new locations, stories, and buildables. We’re working hard to ensure these updates deliver meaningful content to Astrometica." My only question is well that's fine and dandy.... define meaningful. Meaningful to me or to you? Okay enough about that. I challenge anyone who says this game is like many others out there to tell us how exactly this perception has been reached. For any other game you could compare it to, it is 1/4 of the content, narrative, direction, development, and overall playability. Yes its early access. Drones and automation, Wreckage update, new vehicles, space combat, island builders, scavenging update, and space stations... These are all the things coming. ( Reference link ) Which is great! However, if the core mechanics are not nailed down then the late game development will suffer greatly and so will the final product. To many games are having this problem lately instead of hammering down great core mechanics they push content. I hope this game turns around and does better. I will check back and update my review as updates come out.

I was completely down for this game. The first few hours was as you would expect; grinding, following the story, building your world. The last 2 times that I've saved the game and came back in, I've lost significant progress and objects in my world. The last time was at least an hour of play time and building. Not sure I'll be back for a while. Great premise.

All the reviews putting it on par with subnautica - what trash. - The biggest issue is that you just cant move for 80% of the game. 80% of the game is waiting for your jetpack to refill so you get 2 more seconds of movement before you wait again. The dev obviously never heard of Newton's First Law of Motion. - The other 20% of the game is trying to balance utter ridiculous power needs, which can only be solved by construction, but you have no option to fabricate becasue there is no power and you cant prioritize what gets powered and switch things off - Save data randomly gets lost, suddenly you are back where you were 3 or 4 'saves' earlier. Saves are also ignored when dying respawning - The game relies on blinding the player all the time. Insane bloom in caves to hide enemies, green drones that turn the whole screen white so you cant actually defend yourself - After a couple of hours the entire game is locked off behind a requirement for nickel which doesnt exist anywhere
