Budget Banger, got it due to the RTS Fest that informed me about it.
- Took me about 3 Hours to beat the campaign
- Dollar to Time ratio is typically a dollar for an hour, so all in all, I'd say it was worth it. Short & Sweet, didn't really overstay the welcome. Replayable but I don't often replay solo games unless it has meta-progression.
Thanks for the game man, got excited once I realized what happened at the End & when I learned about the Gobbos.
Only critic is that the Goblin maps feel a too small, and are overloaded with Rats, to the point I've literally watched Rats decimate the Goblin village. Maybe letting the Goblins expand overtime with a Townhall styled building of their own so they become a more dangerous threat the longer you take to kill them off, as well as being able to better defend themselves against the denizens within the dead city.
- In addition, maybe the thought of other 'factions' arriving to take advantage of the Dead City may be interesting. Scavenger Bands or Undead Forces.
The Majesty inspiration I found pretty fun & simplified, took me a few moments to realize what I was doing, specially in regards to the spells. One of the few games that have 'Limited Spells' and I've actually used them instead of holding onto them.
Would say that if it's possible, expanding the final Map may be nice, and then having the 'reinforcement' once the Nidhogg appears, makes it a little more cinematic & hypes up the boss a bit more. Would say that the end would be more rewarding in that if it starts off like a 'Survive' type thing, as the Nidhogg gets blasted to hell once your reinforcement gets a hold of them, atleast that was my experience with it.
All in all, fine game, look forward to any additional work you do on it.
Beyond that, stay safe.
