Very fun classes but i feel that being made on RPGmaker hurts this game a bit.

Here's the TL:DR if you want it, more below: If this game was 2.50 or generously like 5 bucks, i'd say get it if you just want a bare, classic dungeon crawling jrpg that's a bit short. Since it's not, due to the tons of bugs and questionable decisions and seemingly no way to get in contact with the dev to get anything fixed, i'd say avoid this. This game is decently fun. I was looking for a low impact classic jrpg experience to play on my shitty old laptop at work, and this game delivered. It's grid based first person dungeon movement, with random encounters, and roaming harder fights you can avoid. Some really interesting class choices i haven't seen anywhere else that were fun to explore, like Ship Surgeon instead of a classic healer, Totem Warrior, and a cook fighter. The level cap is 50, but that still leaves plenty of room to carve out a niche for each of your characters, and you can get some stuff from other classes in the later levels. Gear seems interesting, you get mats from enemies, with some rare drops you get from doing certain things to certain enemies, like a shin bone off a skeleton by "sealing" its legs (sealing is a mechanic in the game that seems to cripple one of three slots). The combat has some depth that's enough to make you have to think a little on the harder fights. Most of the town characters are fun to interact with. Totem Warrior is a dope class. That's it for the positives, Now, the negatives. Controlling the interface feels weird with mouse, it lags behind sometimes and the clicking feels delayed. I wish enemies attacking showed who they attacked better. The damage bubble effect seems incredibly scuffed on the health bars. You start with 5 party members, and there's a max of 8, including summons, which means even though there's multiple classes and archetypes that summon, you can only ever have 3, and some of them become permanent which means unless one of them die you won't be able to change your summons after that. The whole rows mechanic doesn't seem clear, it says those in front are prioritized by enemies but that doesn't really seem to be true. Game feels pretty rocket taggy the further you go, your squishier members just straight up get one shot unless you have bubbles and stuff rolling. The minimap (which you have to unlock by paying gold) is fucking awful, it's so goddamn tiny, and hard to read, and the character's arrow isn't even aligned correctly on it which makes reading it even harder, whenever i wanted to see the map i'd have to lean in and squint like some 80 year old. Proficncies for weapon/armor needs some way to be displayed clearer. Weapons should probably indicate whether they can attack from the back row or not, instead of having to guess. There needs to be way better tracking or displaying of buffs/debuffs, it is currently terrible. There's probably more smaller things that i can't think of. The big thing, to me, is the bugs/design flaws. There's a lot of them, and with no clear way to get in contact with the dev i doubt they're going to be fixed. Me and the apparently one other guy who's played this have posted some in the discussions, there's talents that are legit just dead, which sucks because to get the capstone of a spec you need to take every talent on that page. There's a couple where they're not just connected when they should be so you can never put a point in that talent. Unless dev comes around and communicates, i'd say avoid, at least for this price. Edit: After some time, the Dev actually came around and updated the game, fixing the map issue (which was one of the biggest flaws imo) and some bugs. I think honestly i'd recommend it now, it's not bad for the price.
