Horrible! The AI opponents cheat as they have unlimited resources and no production facilities standing. This isn't like the first Stronghold Crusader in which you can use famine to bleed the AI opponents dry.
Therefore cheat too. I did using cheat engine and cheat tables. Fair is fair as is my review.

Aside from the fact that a lot of the mission are far unbalanced, to top it all off I just played one where there are this archers in my base that I click to attack yet my troops dont ever attack them. And yes, you guessed it right, the archers can attack me.

I loved Stronghold Legends when I was a young kid playing on a disk in my laptop. I LOVED reliving that game with new features and maps with Stronghold Crusaders 2! What I loved the most about Stronghold Legends, however, is the different types of kings, creating brand new architecture and overall vibe, something I haven't been able to replicate in this game. Still a fantastic game :)

as it stands i love the game however it is quite literally crashing, CONSTANTLY. its unplayable YEARS after release and is a disgrace. almost worse than the 3rd game which is saying A LOT. don't waste your money like i did sadly.

I remember playing this as a kid. Not sure if it was exactly this one, but I kind of remember it having good 3D graphics and models for that time, and your leader / hero standing on the roof of the little square building. That square building was what gave it away for me, and unlocked that memory from the depths of my memory.

The content is lacking compared to its predecessor. I don’t understand how this game is supposed to be an improved version. There are animation issues and path bugs. Overall, I still prefer the first version.

I bought this game on sale for a few bucks along with a few other older Stronghold games. This one gets a bit of hate from the OG players but lemme tell you. I AM HOOKED.
Hands down my favorite RTS game so far besides R.U.S.E..
The castle defense mechanics are awesome all the while growing your Kingdom, collecting wood, mining resources, growing food, and running your market.
The learning campaign and Skirmish Trails are a blast. I'd almost recommend getting the DLC as I did not, and I'm nearly done with the trails after 30+ hours. I need more so I will be gettting the DLCs soon for sure.
The custom map maker is very intuitive and easy to learn. I've made 2 maps so far for me and my buddy to co-op against AI and it is a blast.
Definately worth the few bucks on sale. Amazing game :D
