I liked it a lot! It fixed a lot of my issues that Frogun had. There's less stuff to buy and its cheaper, so you don't have to spend a hundred hours grinding every level hundreds of times to hoard enough coins, the double jump makes things a bit snappier and lets you save yourself, the level design is more built around cool skips and shortcuts, the bonus level is 1000% less annoying and is an actual new level, etc. The main issue is its length. This game is only 2ish bucks less than the original, but its maybe a third of the length. I beat the game in 9-10ish hours, and the original took me almost 20. The original had 42. That's less than half and almost half the length. This is a perfectly fine length, the issue is comparisons to the original. I would suggest the original over it in terms of content to $ ratio, but Encore does have a lot of improvements control wise and structure wise, as well as nicer difficulty balance. If you can get it cheap, maybe as a bundle with the original like I got it as, I'd recommend it. Its just a bit too short.
