I have very mixed feelings about this game. And telling you “Yes, you should buy” seems like a disservice. While at the same time I cant say it's not fun (I know, double negative). Here's the thing, the game IS fun, but it's still littered with bugs (Patch 1.5.0.1 was released today). Giants Software touted this as there best release ever, noting how many copies they sold on week one. I've been an avid FS player since FS15, clocking thousands of hours over multiple titles, and to me this is the WORST release ever. It really just boils down to bugs, and how many are still there four months in. When the game was released every two years it didn't have as many as it does now on a three year basis. FS22 wasn't great for this either, but I was more than willing to be cordial given COVID, the restraints that put on everyone, including developers. I see no excuse this go around. The fact that updates we're halted for their Christmas break doesn't help either. Don't get me wrong, I believe everyone deserves a vacation, but if your not going to test your game properly, maybe don't release it so close to said break. I grew up playing NES, PC games (before internet updates were a thing), and PS2.... when a game was released, it was tested, and most worked very well. This isn't the case anymore. Companies have decided that we can be their testers. This is a reality I can whine about all I want but it won't change. But this game feels like a bit of a slap in the face, like they didn't even try. Listen, I'm gonna be a hypocrite. I'm frustrated, and have been multiple times, by this game. I'm not going to recommend this game, because you shouldn't feel frustrated like I am. At the same time, once I calm down, I'll come back and play it again, cuz' I'm an FS addict. Take that for what it is.

Super fun if you enjoyed farm sim 22 its really no different and with less features you are better off with 22 pathetic excuse for the next game of the series

By far the worst Farm Sim that's ever been released. The amount of bugs and jankyness to the game is ridiculous. I would be ashamed to admit this was my game. The feeling of an uncompleted game is everywhere when you play it. The only thing that makes it enjoyable is the modders out there adding things to the game that should have already been put in place. But lets follow the footsteps of EA and reskin a game and screw it up more than the last one.

Its an okay game, but if you have FS22, they worked out the bugs, there aren't really big improvements, graphical and audio quality are the same as FS19, still. Very slow on the release of mods, too.

Even after 3 months of release, there are still constant crashes even with a small farm. FS22 is practically the same game with less issues.

I was really disappointed with Farming Simulator 25. I've been a fan of the series for a long time, started playing in FS17, and I was really excited for this. It just didn't live up to expectations. There are a few good things: some of the graphics have improved, and I like the new maps. The sound is good and some of the new sound effects are very realistic. However, there are also a lot of bad things about the game, it's still very buggy. I've had problems with the game crashing, and despite hotfixes there are still graphical glitches and others issues. Also, there isn't really all that much innovation on the simulation side of things, new features in the game are mostly just cosmetic. In my humble opinion, the modding community is what is keeping this game alive. The worst part of all is that, for what it offers, Farming Simulator 25 is a very, very expensive game. I don't think it's worth the price. I couldn't recommend the game to anyone and keep a clear conscience. I wish I could get a refund and I would gladly go back to playing Farming Simulator 22.

tldr - steep price for an unfinished and unpolished product that is otherwise promising FS25 was the first game in the series I decided to pre order. With 910 hours clocked across FS15, FS17, FS19 and FS22, last of which completely revolutionized my FS experience, I decided to support the developer. The launch was less than smooth… First and foremost - it ran like crap, I barely managed to squeeze out consistent 60 frames. And there were a lot of bugs initially, many of which are still present three months after launch, albeit to a lesser degree. Using any kind of loader with a pallet fork or a bucket is still bound to get sucked in the abyssal depths of the bug realm for no apparent reason. Same goes for being hatefucked out of the map boundaries at fractional mach, with your combine (that you cannot recover unless you revert to a previous save) for no apparent reason. The vehicle fleet available on launch, even with the MacDon pack which I got for preordering the game, is insultingly small compared to the previous titles. Precision Farming was not featured (credit where it is due, they never claimed it would be) and is only now being worked on, and I fear it may be locked behind a paywall when it releases. Personally I would have been much more interested in Precision Farming than the NPC dialogue system that nobody asked for. Base maps didn’t seem too interesting, and Zielonka was suffering from the square field syndrome. That being said, it was not all bad. The tractors and other aggregates you use actually feel like they have weight behind it. The mud filled tires making fieldwork more difficult during the rain makes the experience more enjoyable. AI can finally be relied upon without downloading mods, and the steer assist is a big QoL addition. Being able to use grazing with livestock also eases up the grindy cycle of mowing, baling and fermenting. I’ve yet to toy around with rice and field flooding but it clearly shows innovation. FS25 gets a lot of undue hate from people who expect their modded FS22 experience in a relatively fresh release, but a lot of them also make a fair point in regards to Giants Soft work ethic. Having a big modding community is a boon to any game and it prolongs its life span immeasurably, but relying on modders to do your work for you, without the effort coming from developers end is a slippery slope and paints Giants in almost Bethesda-esque light. And well, we see how well that idea is going for them. Having a grand modding community isn’t an excuse to cut corners - it should be a motivation to innovate and create and I hope they realise that before it is too late. With piss poor commercial practices and dwindling community support they will only doom the series. I won’t be preordering the next title in the series, that is sure. At the current state of the game, it's still way off the full price tag in my opinion. The game is fun enough to play and the modding scene is picking up (hopefully Szapkowo drops soon), so not all hope is lost. But if you insist on receiving a good quality product for the price, wait for a bit.

I have owned literally every farming simulator your company has made, and FS25 is the most disappointing one to date. At least with FS22 you had COVID19 to blame for the lack of content and the amount of bugs. So what is the excuse this time? Corporate greed? GIANTS knows how to extort money from us farming simulator fans and they know we will buy it even though we know what to expect from them every release which is minimal content and major bugs that never get fixed.

the game where you spend hours meticulously planting virtual crops while your real-life lawn looks like a jungle. This is peak farming realism: wake up, drive a tractor, haul some grain, accidentally tip a trailer into the river, and repeat. Pros: ✅ Stunning graphics—my cornfields look better than my actual backyard. ✅ You can mod the game until it barely resembles farming. ✅ More tractors than you’ll ever need (but you will collect them all). ✅ Multiplayer chaos—watch your friends flip a harvester into space. Cons: ❌ Realistic farming means real-time waiting… enjoy watching wheat grow. ❌ One wrong button, and suddenly your entire year's harvest is ruined. ❌ AI workers? More like AI wanderers. They get lost more than I do in IKEA. Final Verdict: If you’ve ever dreamed of farming but don’t want to deal with real-life cows, taxes, or waking up at 4 AM, this game is perfect. Just don’t blame me when you start referring to your garage as "the barn" and looking up real tractor prices. 🚜💨
