As other reviews mention, the art style isn't quite compatible with the RTP.
However, unlike almost all the other resource packs on here (perhaps even all of them?), this pack includes the original high-res artwork for its Faces and Battlers, allowing advanced users to modify them as they please.
If your game is set for this sort of theme, or if you're a great-editor-but-crappy-creator, this is probably pretty good for you.

This pack is good, as long as you make your game enter another land. it wouldn't make sense if you have a medieval town next door to a asian style landscape. So its very limited by those standards, just be careful with buying this pack!

Some of these look like RTP assets redesigned with a Samurai theme. Others play well off of Japanese lore. This pack includes a decent selection of Battlers, Characters, and a few Animations and Tiles. It will definitely add a bit of mythic Sengoku period flavor to your game.

Lovely DLC with great assets focusing around the "samurai" age. I bought it on 75% off and believe me it was an excellent choice. It might not blend in well with the default assets but if you enter a new land in your game or make a game entirely from scratch this will be a great tool to make your RPG creative and unique.

Fair warning before grabbing this, the art styles in it don't match up quite right with the vanilla VX ACE. You can mix them, the mapping is lined up properly. They will just seem noticably different. With that said, everything this pack comes with is beautiful. I'd say only 2 DLC's are really worth getting. One is the DS+ pack, and the other is this. The added benefit to this one is that it comes with pleanty of tilesets and battlers, and it's cheaper than the DS+ pack.
A cute added touch is that every battler sprite has a mirrored variant. So you don't have to do that manually if you don't want to. This package feels complete in of itself, in that you could probably make an entire game using its tiles and characters alone. When it's $5.00, grab it.

First things first, this is a very reliable RPG maker for newbies, or those who wants to make a game that you specifically have in mind. Note that this game is like Pokemon style, in which is in 2D and the battle scene isn't a hand-on combat, but a option-type combat. It took me a while to really understand the concept of this software but now I got the grasp of it. Highly recommended!

One of the best value RPG Maker resource packs. For $20, you get a full tileset, characters, battlers, faces, animations, a windowskin, and bonus high-resolution versions of the sprites and battlers. The only resource packs of comparable size are the two DS packs, and those are $10 more.
The art style is very nice, but distinct from the RTP. Still, it will definitely make your game stand out from the crowd.

I downloaded this when it was on sale. I wasn't making a Samurai themed game at all. So far I've used it when creating my C, D, and E exterior tiles on Game Character Hub, mixing and matching the assets in this pack with that of RTP. Contrary to what I have read, a lot of the assets fit quite nicely alongside some of the RTP assets if you are selective. Everything is well drawn, and I would recommend this pack to anyone that wants to expand their game graphic assets.
