Tones of fun! Love the challenge, the pacing. Love the art direction, tone, and sound.

This game is a lot of fun. It also looks and sounds great. Some really good pixel art and the score has been well put together. If you are buying this thinking it will be like VS be prepared for a game that is a bit more challenging and I mean that in a positive way. There is an auto aim and auto fire setting for this game to make things a bit easier going and more enjoyable. You will see what I mean when you start playing. You will find that there is a fair bit of grinding involved, but this is done well and does not become tiresome. The payoffs are good. The story is well written and the boss battles are both exciting and varied. This is an excellent game for the price.

Garbage game with atrocious balance and no real choices. And despite only two hours of play steam refused my refund because I waited two weeks to make it. Apparently they and the devs would rather scam money and than do business honorably. This is why we need demos. The refund system is not sufficient. Really disgusting behavior baked in. Gamers are the most abuse tolerant demographic in marketing history. Temporarily embarrassed millionaires. Guess all I can do now is hope it gets better someday, but it won't. I wasn't gonna leave a review. But devs need to stand up to this shit too. Steam allows for DLC donation only model after all. No one has the balls for that i guess. Edit: Oh yea and they round up to hit the 2 hours sooner. Look at my review here: "0.2 hrs last two weeks / 1.7 hrs on record." But my refund request says 2. Gotta clutch those pennies. I would literally give my copy away at this point if I could. I hate this country and the church of IPL so much.

Climactic for an early access survivors-like game. Pixel feast, skill/dodge-favouring gameplay, and (at least atm, no idea if the finished product will be like that) balanced between easy-to-farm and grindy.

A maybe recommend (depending on you). A maybe because if you want a vampire survivors like, you won't enjoy it as much. If you want a twin stick shooter, this will be more up your ally. I won't knock them for this though as they never advertised it as this, but it looked like it so that's on me. If they do want the survivors like method I would want more weapons at once, and more upgrades (like gather faster, etc). Right now it does have some upgrades, but they're slow to get and it's a bit of a grind. The gameplay feels a bit slow to me, once again I may be expecting a vampire survivors like so this is on me. Twin stick fans will really like this I think. You can turn on auto-shoot and auto-aim in the settings though if you want to make it more survivors like. The game is really polished in what is there for early access, cool story, (simple, but effective for this type of game), great sprite work and characters, and level flow. I just wish unlocks were a bit more plentiful, and a bit less of a grind to get. Gameplay could be faster and allow more weapons if they want to go the survivors like route as well, but I'm not sure if that's the devs intention, so like I said I won't knock it for that.
