weird strange fever dream where everyone around you acts as if nothing is wrong whilst you’re inventing wifi routers in some buried bunker
but it taught me networking and binary (i think? i’m not too sure tbh)

Blacked out and became a sysadmin for the incomprehensible horrors for like 15 hours. I see the wires when I close my eyes.
Real talk though, I would love if there was an endless mode for this game with more procedural clustering of the room sections and maybe some alternate mainframes to hook up. I think it would be great to go back and replay and get some of the item based achievements without having to have that stupid little drone follow me around for the latter hours of the playthrough.

well after a bunch of digging and attempting to connect to the network i couldn't really find the fun in the game, and the mainframe doesn't seem to accept more than 2 connections even after messing with the hub, the game does try to style itself as a horror game but it's mostly boring, though it's most likely something on my end considering the review score but i can't recommend it if i didn't find any fun in it

I only recommand the game if you like challenging yourself, but be aware that the game itself is rough around the edges and that's part of the experience, but it's not for everyone.

Tunnet gives you the exact same feelings as getting stuck into that old flash game "Motherload" in all the right ways. Tunnet is slow yet you are frequently intrigued by all the various discoveries you make. Tunnet is horrifying yet you push on because you believe in your network, efficiency, and your goals.
I truly haven't played a gem like this in decades, and the simple addition to "play on" after the ending, just to push your data rate up on the global leaderboard is enough to make me come back over and over again.

I am recommending against this game solely because the final boss challenge is so atrociously bad it soured my memories of the game.

Tunnet is a super interesting game and we need more designers to do things in this direction.
Creative, mysterious, challenging to figure out, demands thinking, exploration, just things you generally don't see much these days.
It obviously has flaws (enemies, too much wandering, too short) but nothing you can't look past or change the settings for.
If you want something different and you like to use your brain, you should play Tunnet

I have mixed feelings about this one. I really, really liked the network building part of the game, it's really cool and unique, even with how limiting your tools really are. It's difficult to make an actual network without packet loss. There's no nice merger (2 wires to 1) and you can only connect 1 wire to each endpoint/mainframe.
What I didn't like are the horror elements of the game - the enemies that just insta kill you on proximity and there's nothing you can do about it. The depressing music too. Thankfully there's an option to make the hostile NPCs friendly.
I also disliked how dark the game is visually, there are no light sources to place.
The drill also very often destroys the things you placed in close proximity.

Game is very interesting in the first hour or two, but once "enemies" are introduced and i realised the wifi router is just a glorified wire, my interest began to shrink. The final mission before the ending was super convoluted to the point that i lost interest in beating the game.
