It's a good game. There are some minuses like there is corn, but no tomatoes. And getting everything upgraded is a bit too long. But still it is a good game with mystery and a lot of fun.

I personally really enjoyed this game. Typical open-world RPGs overwhelm me, so this game was actually wonderful to play. I found the lore rich and immersive, the art detailed and pleasing, and the mechanics fairly straightforward. Sure, the combat is a little clunky but you can adjust the difficulty & once you get the hang of it, it's quite fun! This was both an exciting and cozy experience.

i absolutly love this game. I find alot of games difficult. This game has a mix of farming, quests, gathering, yeah i keep coming back to it. The only thing id like different is the map tells you where to go with a yellow patch, but once youve been there the next time it doesnt light up and its hard to remember where everthing is. Compared to alot of games though i find it much easier. Has fishing and has a hard or easy mode, easy for me is good in the settings.

The game has a great concept, but it falls short in execution. Everything feels unfinished, even by early access standards. I don't know I'd recommend waiting to see if the devs fix the bugs and improve the user experience.

Not recommended at this stage. Game version says 1.0, but this game is clearly still in very early development as core functions are not even properly working. Controller support is not working properly in main menu, as you cant even choose your last save with controller.
combat is one of the worst i've seen. you have absolutely no control over your character. you dodge out of enemy attack and get stuck in mountain side in first dungeon and have to reload.
atmosphere and graphics are very appealing but this game needs major polish. unfortunately ...

I'm really surprised by the ratings on steam for this game. I've been finding it a complete joy to play. It finds a way to balance story and grind in a way I don't find very overwhelming. I really like all the little story driven side quests and the main quest is interesting. I haven't delved deeply yet on socializing aspect yet of the game.

One of My Favorite Games – Tons of Heart and Potential
Mirthwood is exactly the kind of game I’ve always wanted—like Skyrim, but with more life sim elements woven in. Farming, animal husbandry, even the potential for building a family—it’s all here or on the horizon, and it gives the game a unique charm I haven’t found elsewhere.
Yes, there are some rough edges (as is expected in early access), but I genuinely hope people see the heart and potential in what’s already been built. The artwork is absolutely beautiful, the world feels mysterious and alive, and the quiet eeriness of the story keeps pulling me deeper in.
If you’re drawn to atmospheric RPGs with a hint of the pastoral and you don’t mind a bit of patience as things grow, Mirthwood is worth supporting. I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

This game has great potential. The art is amazing, and the concept is solid, but unfortunately, it feels unfinished or not fully polished. The biggest issue is the combat – it doesn't feel satisfying or responsive enough. The quests and journal menu also need more attention.
For those who like to play on a controller, it's even more disappointing. It feels like the controller support was just thrown in for the sake of it, without much thought, and it’s missing basic features like vibration.
On the Steam Deck, the game is playable but not great by any means. It’s not well-optimized, with the same controller issues mentioned above, and the UI and font are too small, making it a bit frustrating to play.
I really hope the developers keep updating the game, as it has a lot of potential to become something special.
