mirthwood is farming sim game just as like stardew valley combined with skyrim or the witcher (minus magic attack) that set in medieval era. it has nice artstyle (I love it so much) and cozy vibes. but in some region, the cozy vibes will be turn into terrifying / creepy vibes. dark forest with mist, and the voice of restless lady soul / the growl of the beast lurking and ready to attack you. mirthwood has morality system. its interesting for the farmig sim genre. but sadly, its only for unlocking some item / equipment / ride to buy. there is no consequense for the rest of the story. there is a story. but its not that good, but also not bad. dont expect / compare the story with stardew valley. the NPCs feels empty. there are many NPCs of town people, but they are just 'there'. we can chat with them with some topics that could possibly increase / decrease the relationship between player and NPC (depends on NPC's trait). the only positive things for befriend with them is they will send random gift to our mailbox. but I think its still not worth the time to spend with them. (marriage is not being implemented yet. it should be around Q2 2025 based on dev's roadmap). my advice to improve NPCs quality is.. make them 'recruitable' (after befriended) to accompany the player to explore the world. or to help handle the farm. up to 2 or 3 NPCs. the game stutter so often, but still playable. sometimes you will get stuck, so turn off autosave and save regularly! (they provide F2 key to teleport you to nearby travel post, but I still recommend to reload your game). also, the tools are weird. you will need to focus on maxed out the pickaxe, then the axe. no need to upgrade ay other tools because its useless. is it worth to buy and play? yes, its still worth to play the game and buy it when on sale.

I like Mirthwood. I have only played two hours so far but am certainly planning on playing more. I have gone to a far area many times, but then I realized that I was supposed to go to a way closer area, which has resulted in death for me, but it does highlight the spot on the map for you! Also I enjoy the morality system in the game and plan to get it in the deepest negatives I can. I hope I didn't spoil anything, as I'm trying to write this without spoiling too many things. It's also being worked on commonly, so if you have an issue with anything, like a bug that you really don't like, it will most likely be fixed.

art style is lovely. Shame I can't read 99 percent of the text without using the windows magnifier and thus missing most of what's going on. I'm on 120 percent ui scaling and at 1920x1080 so. shrug.

Needs a little bit of work here and there but its a great game.A game where you can sit back and relax.

Great atmosphere and music but combat remains underwhelming and not very fun. Bow in particular still suffers as the devs have added a cross hairs but the cross hairs do not align with the curvature of the bow at all. It makes aiming needlessly frustrating and unreliable. Though the devs are continuing to try and improve combat so I may have to change this later.

Fun, Lazy, Casual to play. Mostly to past the time with something carefree

Devs are active. Many game's start rough, thankfully many of them turn out to be amazing. High hopes for Mirthwood. I love the art and overall feel of this game.

Terribly slow start, very much a grind for no reward. Combat is abysmal and as others have mentioned, the eating mechanic is not fun in the least.

Unreadable. UI scaling or resolution change made no difference and changed nothing. I am simply unable to play this game. Very disappointing.

The art is lovely, but the game is incomplete. It would have been better to release as Early Access, at least then it could be said that the game would improve in time, currently it just isn't worth it.
