The Game is good, mechanically it's exactly the same as the previous games with some Quality of Life Improvements, so if you played previous Disgaea Games there are no surprise in terms of Gameplay. The Music is really good, there are a lot of memorable Tracks, it's different when compared to previous disgaea games but it is far away from being bad, or generic. And what i want to highlight is the English Voice Acting, as with Disgaea 6 the English Voice Acting is really good, and when compared to older Disgaea Games a dramatic increase in overall Quality. This definitely gives the feeling of a project where everyone had a lot of fun, recording this. And the Writing is strong too, a lot of good and well paced Jokes, and overall interesting Story that doesn't take itself too seriously. Highly recommend it, if you liked Previous Disgaea Games or just want to play RPG that doesnt take itself too seriously. I really enjoyed my time with it, charming Story, good Humour and Voice Acting, and satisfying Gameplay and Music. I'm looking forward for future Entries.

Constant crashes/freezing make the game unplayable. Tried to get a refund but playtime was over 2 hours. Ryzen R9 7900x, 32g RAM, 4070 Super.

game freezes randomly and sometimes is able to continue. other times it freezes up my entire computer and i have to restart the entire PC. although i do love Disgaea games and i would normally recommend them i will have to post a negative review until this freezing issue is fixed.

Conclusion: If u like disgaea general gameplay, then it's ok to buy. Pros: - As usual, u can basically keep on grinding to experience big numbers - Humorous (subjective) - A lot of counter attacks and anime girls. - Freedom on customization (can change class, weapon, etc, hell alot of things to customize) Cons: - Story is pretty shitty ngl, but if u are into shounen anime (power of nakamas, teammates always arrive at critical moment) then probably u might like it. The cliche kinda cringed the hell out of me, not gonna lie on this part. - Nothing much changed, I have been playing since d1 (skipped d3 and d6), feel more or less the same - Can be alittle bit grindy - Kinda rng, can be abit frustrating sometimes

If the Disgaea games have dragons to raise, I already consider them the best games of all time. I love dragons

It's a Disgaea game, which kinda says it all... Silly humor, deep systems, over the top numbers, the works. My only real complaint with the game is that it likes to crash when I try and pass dark assembly bills, but hasn't been game breaking. I got a party of 10 that have all got to 20m stats, and unlocked all the unique evility slots, and then I tried carnage Baal and got immediately wiped and unlocked the 20 chain achievement. 10/10 would get nuked again. I am gonna keep at it for a little bit still I think to see if I can get the rest of the achievements, but what I have played has been a blast.

Disgaea 7 is probably the second best game in the series behind 5, and a massive improvement over 6.

this game has its issues, and follows the trend of nippon ichi shoving way too many annoying as fuck gimmicks into every game they create. did you like quests? No? well now there's 10000x more of them. did you find it silly that all of disgaea 5 was dominated by the FMA land decimator spammers? well now you get robots that can kill literally everything in the entire map without even moving, in 1 turn usually. And anything you can't kill in one turn, you can jumboify and make them teleport anywhere on the map, and so can the enemy. the entire game revolves around nonsense gimmicks like this and makes it really annoying. The game isn't challenging and it's meant for casual gameplay, but that casual gameplay is ruined by all of these ridiculous systems that only serve to ruin the experience. phantom brave had issues like this, that one dungeon crawler they made had annoying gimmicks, almost every disgaea game since 3 has been the same way. What happened to disgaea 1 and 2? Why can't they just go back to that formula? Also, a very important FYI. If you can't tell by the other negative reviews, this game is affected by that computer-destroying windows 11 fatal crash. This game can and will break your computer... do not play it if you are on windows 11. If you are on linux or windows 10 or etc then you should be fine. DO NOT PLAY THIS IF YOU ARE ON WINDOWS 11. There are tricks that can help you escape the inevitable BSOD and potential computer rebuild, but do you really want to risk it? Until microsoft fixes this fucking stupid ass error, don't play this game. A complete waste of money and you can't get a refund if you could, at one point, play it like I could, but now can't. PS: this issue has been ongoing for almost a year now. Thanks Bill!
