Such a charming short game, very well written, really good VOs, and I loved the ending dialogue options~ The controls were a bit finicky sometimes so I may or may not replay to do the other story options. Highly recommend for any Sherlock fans though!

Absolutely lovely little game! Had a smile on my face the whole time, the art is beautiful and the voice acting is phenomenal with excellent dialogues, which really makes for a compelling (in a cozy way) story! I had this game on my wishlist for a while, happy to say it did not disappoint!

I loved this game, it was an utterly delightful experience! Very cozy and comforting, low stakes and the end left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling. I've been a huge Sherlock Holmes fan for most of my life and I'm usually highly critical of any depictions of Holmes and Watson outside of the books, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I honestly recommend playing this game if you love Sherlock Holmes too

A quaint and endearing game that was so obviously handcrafted with love for the source material that it takes so much care using and extrapolating from. Emotional. Heartfelt. Beautiful.

The Beekeeper’s Picnic is a delightful short adventure game for fans of the genre and Sherlock Holmes alike. A touching interpretation on Holmes’ retirement in the Sussex Downs, showing a man who has grown into a calmer, kinder person, but still retaining his sharp wit and willingness to help those in need. The puzzles are on the simpler side for experienced adventure game players, but this makes sense considering the game's laid-back mood, and the hint system is helpful without being condescending. Alongside the relaxing mood and charming characters is also an undercurrent of queer-positivity, from Holmes and Watson’s relationship to several members of the secondary cast being obviously queer if you pay attention to the subtext. Overall, The Beekeeper’s Picnic is a charming, hopeful game for fans of Sherlock Holmes.
