IMPORTANT!! This is the first part of the game, which means it is kind of a first chapter and the continuation of the story is currently being created, not out yet. Without rushing, I spent 3 hours playing.
Coralina is an indie game available in Portuguese and even in English, which is a great point! One big thing about this game is the story. It's a very complex one with lots of characters and backstories to learn. The world Coralina is immersed in is in my view very creative and detailed. The vibe is similar to the Yume Nikki and Undertale ones, so if you liked those games, you should definitely try this one! Keep in mind Coralina has its very special story and world though, that's what makes it unique in its own way. One thing I liked a lot is the graphics, big up to the artists! On the other side, to be honest, I found the musics and sounds kind of annoying at first but I ended up appreciating them. It's not a big deal if you don't forget to adjust the sounds in Options (for example, in my case, I had to turn down the interaction sounds (SE volume) a lot, not too much though because it's part of the retro vibes). I believe that, for its cheapness (I got it a long time ago but I'm pretty sure I bought it on a sale) and its creativity, the game is worth the try.
That game was created by Gabriel Maki (you can find more official info about the game in his ytb channel). Please go watch some trailers and short gameplays too to get a better idea of what you're buying. Enjoy it!

I really wanted to give a thumbs-up to a Brazilian indie creator, however, I feel like I must give constructive criticism to this game. The biggest problem is it's writing, sadly it's very confusing, everything it tries to explain is very poorly executed and doesn't make that much sense to me. However, not every aspect of the game is bad, the art and its diversity is very impressive and beautiful. Hopefully, the author changes this part of the game to be a little more clear and does the same in the next chapters so that I can change my mind and give the game a positive review.

Early on, the description says the lead writer has a interest in eventually directing movies, and it shows. Coralina feels like an experimental art-house film in the best way possible.
The art style is flexible and haunting, and the dialogue feels provocative (I'm using the English translation, don't know enough Portuguese to judge that one). The setting and characters are slowly developed through the about 1-hour runtime and already feel engaging. Most of all, the whole experience felt suprising and intriguing in a way few other games have been.
Really excited to see parts 2 and 3, especially after finding the former as a NextFest demo

Aloha,
This is my review for Coralina: the Wisdom of Doomsday. A retro RPG indie game with an arthouse school aesthetic and follows the titular character of Coralina through a surrealist setting with some puzzles and plenty of symbolism. That being said, the game is an RPG in the same way the Twin Peaks was a cop show, or Evangelion was about giant robots.
The Good: unique art style, cool music and sound design, psychadelic setting and surrealist characters, and is unlike anything I've played before. The Dev was responsive to my bug report and literally fixed it the next day. The translation is decent, only a few spelling mistakes, and some of the translation quirks make it all the more endearing.
The Bad: the game was pretty short and only lasted about an hour and a bit for me, even with wandering around and replaying some parts when I died; but for the price I'm not complaining. I just wanted more.
The Ugly: "But the flame jewel is attached to my arm." You'll understand if you play it.
The Last Word: BRAZIL NUMERO UNO! BRAZIL NUMERO UNO! Buy this game for the art house cred so you can be a hip cat like me and say "I was playing their games back BEFORE their studio became mainstream..."
