This game is almost really good, but is missing a mechanic that would let you create a truly intricate rail system. If you have played factrio then you will quickly spot the omission of the chain signal. Train valley world uses pieces of track are defined as a segment by signals. Signals define the end of a segment of track as well as the direction the trains are allowed to travel. Each segment of track will only be available if there is no train in the segment. Factorio has an additional signal type, the chain signal, this will only define a segment of track as available if the segment after is also available. This difference seems small but the choice not to add this to the game has really limited the possibilities for designing interesting rail systems.

Dear Dev, Did you play your game before launching? This game feels rushed. or didn't have enough attention. The in game tutorials show how much they aren't connected to the game.

This game is not terrible, but compared to the previous Train Valley games it's quite disappointing. A 5/10 when TV2 was a 9/10 for me. I'll get more specific below but it mainly just feels buggy and unfinished.
Pros
- The addition of schedules and signals is pretty cool for this franchise; it makes it more like a train management game instead of a tight optimization puzzle like Train valley 2 was. - I like that they added that hovering on a city or production building shows a dotted line to all the other places it either supplies or demands from.
Cons

Major Bugs:
- I had two trains collide even though all segments of track were signaled. This should be impossible. Just made me rage quit the level. - When you add a new train and assign it to start at a multi-track station, you can't pick which track it will start on; sometimes if you put it in a schedule where it could only work by starting on track 2 for example, it sometimes puts it on track 1 and the train shows the no path found error. If you click stop and start on the train it will teleport to the right track. Not a game breaker but annoying.
Omissions
There are a lot of things that are just inexplicably missing that were in TV2: - The building modes have keyboard shortcuts but you have to dig through the settings menu to find them. In TV2 hovering the mode buttons shows the shortcut - You can't see how much money a train will generate while it's en route - Production buildings that start on the map don't start generating resources until you build a station there, which doesn't make a ton of sense to me - The "tech tree" star unlock system is underwhelming, it should either just unlock itself or give you much better rewards for having a lot of stars
