I have to admit the melee is very intriguing from a source engine game but man the best way to describe the game is WTF?

Zeno Clash is a relic, a fascinatingly ugly experiment in first-person brawling wrapped in dated Source engine tech. Its surreal aesthetic and brutal combat offer a jarring departure from convention. Yet, it exists now mostly as a curiosity, a node in Steam's network designed to funnel you towards bundle purchases. Play it to experience the weirdness, but recognize it as digital taxidermy – interesting to look at, fundamentally dead, and propped up by a system that values your engagement far more than your experience. A monument to creative ambition constrained by technical decay.

Extremely short and mediocre as a game. However, If you enjoy the source engine, this will certainly interest you. I would probably buy it on special though.

This game is mental. It took me some years to be in the mood for this craziness, but once you are in the mood it's perfect

Its just so unbelievably bizarre, I love it. If you like first person games, especially ones with melee combat you'll enjoy it.

I was enjoying it until it keeps crashing on a loading screen. Tried couple of times but it keeps doing it on that particular loading screen. Keep saying cmdlcache: Out of memory. Can't find any fix.

Super old Source engine game that still holds up pretty well. If you like exploring cultures and weird people more than exploring levels, this game has a lot to offer you to this day. The levels are either arenas or totally linear. Gameplay is still mostly fine. The guns all kind of suck, and the camera is awkward to move while locked on in melee. The story is minimal, the universe is maximal.

Weird game, fun art style, unique combat

It has aged like fine wine. Such a fantastic and visceral game with art and character design that is out of this world. The story mode is brilliant and entertaining to from start to finish and then there is the challenge tower that has extremely fun as well as hard levels to conquer. My only nitpick is that at the beginning of levels you get this really bad stuttering which goes away after a few seconds but it is very jarring when it happens every time you load into a new level. Tl:dr This classic is still a heck lot of fun. The hand-to-hand combat holds up extremely well. There's also the amazing art, story and characters. This game is a whole vibe in itself. A surreal masterpiece.

The game is great, you should try it. Awesome style and sound, nice and funny fighting mechanic. Abolutely worth its price. Also, Kenshi vibes.
