The idea is great, but the small enemies getting stuck is enraging

The main gameplay loop is very cool ! A bit frustrating by the end because of the constraints and the fact that you get so many time clones, you kinda get confused about what you did in the previous loopsbut that's fine.
The game looks really nice too, though the environment feel a bit empty at times.
Enjoyed my time playing it, so go and have fun too !

My new favorite game. Combines fun and smooth controls and combat with a fun puzzle element and enemies involving staggered time. Hoping that there's more to come.

Devs, I have one piece of advice - add ranks/medals to the storyline, play around with a longer basic timer, and the game will play out so much better in the first hour!
Do I recommend it even without my message to the devs? Absolutely!
- The art is great. I would like to take a closer look at some of the buildings/statues in the game.
- THE CONCEPT OF TIMETRAVELING HACK'N'SLASH IS GREAT AND EXECUTED WELL.
- The gameplay feels smooth.
- The storyline is interesting to the end (maybe besides so many golems...).
As cons, I would consider:
- A semi-open world which seems unnecessary.
- Sometimes the story is explained twice.
- After unlocking the third weapon, the others seem weak (but still fine in normal progression).
- Most spells/runes are boring.
- Too few bosses (which are greatly executed, BTW).
Overall, a pretty good game, with a slower pace than, for example, Hades, but with a puzzle-solving mechanic and a great story :)

Played through the story, its amazing. Sadly not a lot of people will ever see the game, but i do think the gameplay is innovative.

While the idea behind the game is brilliant, it's a very repetitive game in practice with not nearly enough variety. Not only that, but by the second world, the game's framerate started to completely tank despite my PC handling other, more graphically taxing games just fine. Not worth it.

Lysfanga is an action game played from an overhead/isometric perspective, and utilizing an amusing time mechanic.
The main gameplay involves clearing combat arenas of all enemies, and you are given a (short) time limit to be able to destroy them. However, the time limit makes it nearly impossible to defeat them all and that's where the game's time theme comes into play: If you die during an initial run, or the timer ends, a ghost copy will replicate all the actions you did in your previous run. This allows you to be able to strategize a bit and find the best and most effective way to defeat all enemies and clear the arenas.
The game does get more challenging the farther in you get, but it manages to offer simpler encounters as a breather before the tougher ones as you progress. Furthermore, the game gives you various tools to utilize for better enemy clears as you progress in the game. If one fancies more of a challenge, the game has various time trial challenges to test your skills and aim for a better clear time.
Because of the time mechanic the game utilizes, this is one of the few games I've played that I'd label as a Puzzle-Action game, and it is possible to have different ways to clear certain rooms utilizing the different abilities given to you.
Music and Visuals-wise, the game has a nice visual style and the music is passable. There are some collectibles to be found as you progress through the non-combat zones of the game but due to how zoomed out the game is, some might be irksome to spot.
In fact, the zoomed out camera may be the biggest drawback to some folks, if their eyesight isn't comfortable with things looking too small. If one's still intertested in giving it a try, there's always the demo which gives a great idea of what the gameplay is like along with providing a few of the harder sections in the latter half of it.
This is one of the year's hidden gems IMO, and I recommend it for anyone interested in games that use an uncommon, or unique, mechanic that they isn't seen in a lot of games.

While this game has a great concept, it doesn't do very much with it and despite a pretty strong start it shifted from challenging to frustrating a short way into Act 2.
The only thing Lysfanga does with its core mechanic is put you into combat arena after combat arena with the only goal beyond defeating all the enemies in the limited time available to you is to challenge you to do so under a stricter target time limit. At first meeting these challenges was satisfying as it was done by altering my tactics, making different choices about which enemies to take on during which loop, and learning when it makes sense to do two shorter loops targeting the same enemies or to keep going on my current loop to take on more enemies. Unfortunately, once I hit Act 2 the arenas were all suddenly filled with damage sponges that attack constantly and cover a large area with these attacks. It started to feel a lot less like I could plan my way to a faster time and more like I had to get lucky. Eventually I just had to accept that the frustration to fun ratio was not worth continuing to play, which is a real shame.
The only thing to do outside of these combat arenas is some rudementary exploration that can net you some orbs that, as far as I could, tell were collectables purely for collecting's sake, shards that grant you an additional remnant upon collecting 4, and new outfits. I did feel compelled to go around and collect everything in the areas I went through, but there wasn't any real benefit to me for having done so.
Overall I'm quite disappointed with how this game turned out. Time loops where you work with your past self or selves to accomplish a goal are one of my favorite genres of puzzles, and early on this game did feel quite promising. It's a real shame that it got so frustrating so quickly in the second act. I don't see myself returning to play this one in the future.
