Did not start in English and was a pure luck I found the English option in the menu. Graphic design is great as is the pixel art. A clear inspiration from Dead Cells. Don't come in hoping for the fluid combat system of DC but take it at its own game with lower expectations and its actually a good time. For the price this is a great time. The jump animation feels floaty and weird, but you get use to it. Give it a shot!

TL;DR: If you're really craving something to play get it on sale. I haven't quite finished the main story and I probably won't tbh, There's nothing particularly bad about the game (except for some TL errors, which are passable imo), but there are just many things that don't really make it that good, especially when compared to other titles in the same genres. Combat is clunky, repetitive, and not very responsive at times. Some enemies have hit-scan attacks which cannot be dodged, and are really hard to parry due to the clunky animation timing. They also have terrible animation wind-ups. Movement is also clunky and laggy, but the dash feels kind of nice. Gameplay loop is kind of repetitive and boring. If you're really craving a 2D side-scroller there are 100% better things in the market. I got the game during sale so it's kind of worth it.

Usually I am not into platformer/metroidvania type games, but I do love rng loot based rpg games a lot. For this reason I decided to give this game a chance and oh boy I am so glad that I did. First things first during the first week of game release developers already released three patches to improve game play and they are stating they are working on upcoming content as well. Hopefully these are positive early signs for the game not to be abandoned soon like some other titles. This is a diablo style loot based metroidvania game which features a classless system. Your play style and skills change through the weapon of your choice. There is a skill tree system which does consist of passive stat points, utility skills, weapon passives and weapon skills. It is simple in a good way. One great feature of this skill system is you can have up to three different skill trees and can change them on the fly. This way you can have three different builds at the same time without a need to respec, this is a great convenience. Game is fast paced, maps usually do not take more than 5 minutes to complete so it is playable even if you do not have much time. There are currently seven domains (hence the name), with each domain having 6 regular maps, one treasure chest map, two sub boss maps and one main boss map. Completing each domain ups the difficulty one tier up, which increases the levels of mobs and level of gear that you acquire. When you complete all seven domains you get access to the eighth difficulty tier and final boss of the game. All domain bosses and final boss are farmable. Apart from the eight tiers that increase mob levels, there are three selectable difficulty levels which further increases the mob levels. So as your character gets stronger you can challenge higher difficulties and tiers to improve your gear, so there is a lot of replayability if you are into that type of game play. Loot is diverse, there is a rarity system including in unique items, so there will be a lot of opportunities for min/maxing at the end game.. One great feature that I like about the game is for every map that you complete for the first time you get some stat points. This gives an incentive to complete every main and optional objectives on a map as you know your character will become stronger. Can definitely recommend this game.

If you look at my profile, you'll see it's inundated with Metroidvania's. That's for a good reason, they're my favorite genre. That out of the way, this game instantly *feels* bad. There is 700-900 ms of latency before a movement input is registered (no idea why that would be), but it makes the game feel horribly slow and clunky. I would comment on more, but I literally couldn't deal with the terrible movement so I just gave up.

If this was still in early access it might be okay, but as a finished product it leaves much to be desired. Controls are clunky, unresponsive and inconsistent. Combat is uninteresting, skills are essentially useless as they often deal less damage that your normal attack combo. The skill tree is full of both tiny incremental stat boosts and huge stat bumps, both costing the same to learn. The worst part is that even if these issues were fixed, and it felt as fluid as it's obvious inspiration, it still wouldn't be a very interesting game. Seems like one of those games where the designer has only played one or two, and basically just copies things without realising why they do or don't work.

I'm playing this mainly on Steam Deck and really love it. Just wish they would have done a real translation instead of this abomination of an auto-translate massacre. So if you come for the story or any of the dialogues and are only able to read English - skip it, it's messed up to a degree where you don't understand anything. There are some minor technical issues, there's sometimes a lag/freeze for a second, mostly at the beginning of a level. Otherwise it's great, reminds me of Dragon Marked For Death, Sakuna and Foregone, which I all really liked. It's a solid grind with loot tables, repeatable bosses, random item stats, different weapon types and a really neat skill tree. There are special abilities you can bind to specific controller buttons, and which can be obtained through reaching them on the skill tree or by finding weapons/armor unlocking them as a perk. Feel free to comment if you got any questions I could answer regarding the game.
