I tried out the game as a demo and really enjoyed a lot of the game play and was looking forward to trying out the full game once I had room in my game queue. However, when I had to quit the game mid run due to time constraints, I was surprised to find the next time I loaded it up that that run was gone. This was jarring enough that it has soured the game for me.

Quick Description:
-The Land Beneath Us is a roguelight turn based tactics game with a pretty cool visual style. While I was initially really intrigued by this game, the more that I have played it, the less consistent I have found the overall game design. I have only played for 3 hrs, but in those 3 hrs, I have had 3 winning runs (unlocking harder variations with each winning run), and have unlocked a decent amount of meta-progression. My biggest issue with this game is that so far it feels way too easy and that the upgrades/synergies are not that interesting. Winning in this game mostly comes down to patience and planning ahead. I was hoping for a far more creative and challenging experience.
Consensus:
-Bottom Shelf Game (Tier 5 and makes up 10% of my reviews). This one is pretty disappointing. I will very likely give this one another try after a few more updates. It's possible that if you put in enough time, that the game really opens up in unique and creative ways. But at this very moment, it's hard to recommend this game, when there are so many phenomenal games available in this genre.
