Easily one of the best visual novels I have ever played. I won't even describe it because you simply MUST experience it first hand for yourself and uncover everything this masterpiece has to offer. Avoid spoilers, go in blind.

Coming from someone who never finishes any game they played, this game got me HOOKED. Art style? Gorgeous. Character dialogue? Chef's kiss. Story? Twists on top of twists on top of twists! The game gives me just enough clues for me to be able to figure out the truth without them spoon-feeding it to me, but also enough mystery to keep me guessing. AND, I hate jumpscares, but now I see the appeal. Streamed this to my friends and we had fun speculating (and laughing at me screaming).

One of my all-time favourite games, the artstyle, the music, the character design, the gameplay, the mystery. It all works so well together for me. It doesn't try to stay spooky in the same way so it doesn't become monotone and boring. Just fantastic.

Very good adventure VN, the game gave me chill with the 360 camera, well done. The artstyle really reminds me of Yamishibai, which why i bought this game and it is really worth to read.

might only be 10-12 hours, but the story is very robust. felt like it had to have been a hundred hours by the time i was through, and i mean that in a good way. there was no filler, no navel gazing, no weeb bait, no boring parts, and it was still as a complete of a package as other games in the genre.
highly recommend, especially for people who like weird horror mysteries. even if you're new to VNs, this is probably a great place to start.

A visual novel following multiple characters and their investigation into the titular paranormal phenomena, and as you might suspect Japanese mythology and mysticism are prominent elements of the story. Gameplay wise it's mostly pointing and clicking to interact with objects and characters with occasional choices. You can also rotate the "camera" freely to inspect more of the environment and the game does make clever use of this feature from time to time. The cast of characters and their interactions with each other are fun to witness, seeing the story from their different perspectives makes things more interesting and the mystery is engaging. A lot of it is great though it does stumble with the true ending which feels like it weakens the events of the story and their impact more than anything, and also misses out on opportunities to develop other critical characters more. The art is really nice too.
Overall inspite of the ending fumbles it's a deeply engaging mystery that I can strongly recommend.
