It is a turn based JRPG style game. Not usually my cup of tea but I am having so much fun. I am working my way through this game. I am absolutely having a blast. Check it out and enjoy.

Facts:
You can fight a pudding. One of the weapons is a coat rack, another is a carrot. Toilet paper is used to unequip a cursed item which is brown and sticky. At the very start of the game you are warned that it contains themes of slavery, revenge, swearing, and other adult content.
Opinions:
It works way better than it ought to, given the disparity between its little-kid-random humor and the inherently-grim subject matter. Perhaps this is because both are mostly presented in text (a given, seeing as this is an RPGmaker game), allowing the player to direct the pacing by slowing down to appreciate a good bit of dialogue or skipping past its opposite. Perhaps this is because there's a strange earnestness in this misspelling-ridden, frequently expletive-filled, not-as-funny-or-as-clever-as-it's-trying-to-be, awkward, little game, an earnestness that reminds me of my middle/high school days.
It's hard to stay frustrated at a game where an individual bossfight might have a unique tune, or a beautiful background image for a fight might be used once and only once, where such care and effort has gone into things so easy to miss. The gameplay loop is good and the feeling of progression is satisfying (with a lot less grinding than I'm used to in this sort of game), I've certainly enjoyed games which were less fun on a gameplay level. Each class and subclass feels meaningfully distinct, and there's some solid "choices matter" components, so the replay value is there. Each location is fun to walk around in, and none of them overstay their welcome; massive props for that.
If the Age of Fear series felt like a low-budget indie attempt to make something like Warlords Battlecry III or Heroes of Might and Magic III, then this feels like a no-budget RPGmaker attempt to make something like Breath of Death or Cthulhu Saves The World, and as such I'm really glad that I gave it a chance, because it was worth every minute of it.
Sure, I'm biased and opinionated, but I like what I like, and, despite all of its flaws and expletives, I like this game. I like it quite a bit.

Pretty good. It did at times feel like the scope was bigger than they at first anticipated but they seemed to gracefully pull off everything, even if it's not quite as explored as it could be. It was a great game and definitely worth the purchase.
